I did, football in freshman year, and wrestling/weights for the rest of the time.

I did football 'cause me padre, and his padre, so on, did it but I didn't like it. Wrestling was fun, too bad I broke my arm due to a child actor in freshman year, who was on my team >_>. I was in the 215 and Heavyweight weight classes, so the matches were slow, but the wins were quick.

For weights, I'm pretty sure I got the record in my class for doing 900lbs leg presses.

Share any stories of your high school athletic experiences.

I was on the volleyball team. Two years on junior varsity and two more on varsity. The team has gone 6 years undefeated, and I was there for the 2nd-5th years. :rock

Yeah, this year my school has a lot of sports I enjoy! I'm currently doing AFL, Softball, Rugby League, Soccer, Volleyball (my favorite), AusTag and tennis. I'm gonna try out for the union team but I'm not sure if I will get in :\

I was part of varsity football in my senior year. I joined because I didn't have much of an extracurricum activities and I was at a loss what to put in my college application so I thought it'd help. Turned out it didn't do anything for me but being part of a football team definitely had its perks. No I didn't date any cheerleader but our varsity cheerleading squad had Fergie from Black Eyed Pea in it so I was cheered on by her during all the games and rallies. :)

BTW I was also part of HS choir at the time so my senior year was anything but boring.

Nope, never participated in any sports during high school. I was in softball for a few years, but it wasn't a part of my school district. I don't plan on doing any sports in the future though.

...But I was in band from 6th grade to 12th grade. :D  Marching band counted as one half of a P.E. credit during high school.

Yeah, all I did was ping pong. I was never too athletic so I just stuck to that.

However, it did get pretty competitive at times - being in a small school, at least 1/4 of the student body got involved at some point.

Tried out for the freshmen Basketball team. I went to small middle school filled with affluent kids and so I wasn't prepared for the socio-economic intermixing of students at the high school. So while I was there physically, mentally I was aloof, which wasn't going to work for the coach. He offered to let me be team manager but I declined.

That was the end of high school sports for me.

i'd argue with the school about only getting half a credit. i lugged a Bass Drum up and down stadium steps, marched 2 mile parade practices and the 9 minute halftime show. my drum was hollow in the middle, but still pretty heavy.

In my first band camp (10th grade) i lost 30 pounds in those 2 weeks. i was putting away 2 gallons of water a day.

Speaking of athletics, i watched my alma mater Enterprise High School get stomped earlier tonight by a lesser team. i am sad now.

I feel ya. My Band Director swithched me from trumpet to the second heaviest wind instrument on the field. Marching Band ain't no joke.

Back on topic last year I made the both the JV Tennis and JV Basketball. This year I'm going for Varsity+ Marching Band.

I was never interested in sports, so I never bothered going into them back when I was in school.

I played for my school football team for 2 years.

That's football, not 'soccer', ok? :p

High school was 16 years ago. These days I'm into distance running. I'm running my fifth marathon in two weeks.
