Sideswipe was not seen biting the big one in the movie. I thought it was Windcharger's body that was seen next to Wheeljack's.

Actually the reason why Prowl and Rachet and Wheeljack appeared was because the Japanese did not screen the movie until much later...so they didn't know who died...but I would like to think Sideswipe made it out alive...him and Sunstreaker!  

 

That may be so, but Wheeljack is in Victory.

 

Check out the episode in Season 3 were we see all the tombs in the spaceship ("Dark Awakening" or "Return of Optimus Prime"? I can't remember which). There are a few names mentioned who we didn't actually see die in the movie, but I can't remember who they were (the DVD is up in the loft).

 

Ironhide, Ratchet, Prowl and Huffer.
Huffer being the only one we didn't see die.

 

I had HOUND's name in my head for some reason... hey ho!

 

I had Wheelie's name in my head for some reason... Guess it was just wishful thinking.

The reason I said it was Sideswipe is that in the storyboards he is labelled as Sideswipe

He was in the storyboards, using his invisibility powers to shoot at Decepticons, but Megatron fired at the building he was in with his fusion cannon. Also in the storyboards there's a dead Trailbreaker corpse lying around where the Decepticons board Astrotrain. Man did they want to wipe out the 84 line as much as possible.

 

Wow. So did the artists actually draw in Wheeljack and later colored him red? Also I also know that in the storyboards it's Smokescreen not Wheeljack that gets "killed". Any idea of why the switch to Wheeljack? Was Sideswipe really "killed"? Anyway I still believe that both got repaired.
