I was happy to finally get this guy, but my excitement went own as I was transforming it.

No matter what I do, the middle-to back half of the vehicle mode (The arms in Robot mode) won't tab together at all. It always stays like this.

I fiddle with it, try to compress everything, but nothing gets better. Is it just with my figure or did others get this problem as well?

Try pulling the front half of the car forward as you tab it in. You can also try angling the mini window part inside a small amount (the right one that's sticking out in your pc) & getting it inside before pushing the door along with it.

Like, mine's still a little fucky, but doing that usually helps.

Why, this did make it better. The small window panels are still sticking out a little, but not as much as it was.

    Japanese instructions...!

You can also try angling the door itself so that the top part points inward a little bit (or the bottom part inward) & go from there. Another thing you can do is adjust the trunk area. All 4 wheels might not touch, but you might be able to sacrifice that for a more "togethery" alt mode.

My Soundwave refuses to stay completely together too. Either the upper legs separate, or the top of the nose refuses to stay together.

You're probably better off posting in or creating a thread for the RID soundwave for this because more people will see it that way. Like, I'd help, but I don't have the figure & don't expect to see it at my retail for a long time, so yeah...

Same with my Soundwave, the nose cone refuses to stay together at all. Nothing tabs in very well. I try to compress both parts together but it always comes undone.

I don't think they're faulty, it's just that the tabs are not thick enough to peg into those holes or they're either too tiny..

Go back and read the directions for his feet very carefully. I'd been having the same problem, but I just transformed mine again and noticed I've been tucking the feet in on the wrong side of the knee the whole time. It seems very intuitive that they should go in the wrong way.

Now that I finally did it the right way he fits together perfectly!

Japanese instructions are more than often the same pictures without any hint of text the US instructions are.

Lately on my FE Bulkhead I've noticed some signs on his instructions that reminded me of gundam models, like "snap this first" or "this locks" and so on. Are they on US instructions too?

And by signs I mean signs, NOT words.

It's been years since I've built Gundams & I'd be fucked if I knew where my instructions still were, but I think I know what you're talking about from back in the day. I don't recall seeing those on the Bulkhead instructions, but again, I don't remember too much about em.

I've sometimes had to tighten or loosen some tabs on toys the last couple of years they often put the wrong tolerances on them.

Mistranformation. There are joints in his thighs you have neglected to move.

My money's on the feet not being put in the right place. (I had the same problem and the same symptom)

Is it even possible to get cj as far into car mode as the photos show without properly adjusting his thighs? First. Time I transformed mine I missed the thighs and I couldn't get the car to go together at all until I fixed the thighs.

You probably have the front end too tight, it jacks up the rest of it all the way back. Turn it over, if it looks like this:

separate it a little to give it a gap like this:

Are you guys thinking of the right toy? His is clearly the First Edition in which the problem area is made up of his arms. NOT his legs. That would be the RiD version.

Yes, I'm referring to the Fe version. The legs run most of the way down the body and effect everything. I had the same problem he's describing.

Pretty sure the other poster is as well.
