I heard that Hasbro had supposedly raised their prices with the RiD Prime toys, but looking at HTS, they are still selling their toys for $11.99. Was it Hasbro or the stores that raised their prices, or both.

Been seeing $14.99 at TRU and Target. Saw $15.47 at Walmart of all places. Walmart! What happened to rollbacks!

Perhaps they adjusted the msrp earlier than they were supposed to.

HTS sells deluxe PRiD for 14.99, so it seems they raised the price, so everyone else did.

I've got all three of the Generations figures (FoC Prime, Jazz, and Shockwave) that are out now and at the new price point. They're all 3 good figures, IMO, but nowhere near worth that price. At least not to me. It just further strengthens my interest in 3rd party projects, while they may be expensive as well, I just feel like I'm getting more "bang for my buck" with that stuff. If Hasbro and Takara keep going smaller for more money, I'm afraid I'll be less likely to buy. I truly hate to say that about a toy line I've loved for so long.

The DotM/Generations figures are still $11.99, but the Prime figures are $14.99. Presumably they're honoring the original price tag; after all, it IS old stock.

Hasbro raised the price themselves (inflation steadily pushes costs higher and higher), though Walmart seems to be adding a premium to it for some reason. A strange day when TRU's the cheaper store.

If the price has been fixed keeping the old stock in view then its fine otherwise I can't say exactly that the price has been raised by Hasbro, but I also personally think that if this keeps on continuing, then I guess there will be very few people who will love to pay such a high rate for nothing.

It really seems to me that WM, Target, TRU, or wherever you shop is catching on that people want transformers instead of other stuff and are increasing prices to make more profit, IMO. Or maybe HTS keeps their prices artificially low at $11.99 for the new stuff and rape you on the shipping. I don't know.

All NYC area Toys R Us's I've been to are charging an outrageous 17.49 for all deluxes, and anywhere from 26.99-30.99 for Voyagers. Not willing to buy the tiny FOC figs at that price.

I got my FOC OP and jazz at Tru Bogo sale today. I noticed the past few weeks they have sales so maybe that's the way to offset costs?

YEAH! just the other day I saw the Prime toys for like 15 bucks at Walmart! I was thinking OMG! That's crazy! I got a Nerf Super Soaker Tornado Strike about 2 weeks ago for 12 bucks and it was huge! I have no idea why they raised the prices that much, 12 bucks was good enough but for the size I would think 10. Why they did that I have no idea.

Taking away normal economic factors, such as inflation, the opposite would be more likely. Less people are buying now so they lower production and increase cost. There are no movies promoting the toys anymore and Prime is in limited markets last I knew (Not everyone has hub afaik).

I agree. I bought fox Shockwave last week, and was so unimpressed with him for a $16 figure. I'd rather by an imported version for a little more than what's here...

There was already a huge argument about this very thing in another thread. Let's not rattle the cages again.

its going to be this high so the Christmas deals look like a bigger value. They raised the price now when the average consumer is'nt going to notice the change.
Their going to be $11.99 again in November and Hasbro won't be giving so much product at a loss.

Still I'll buy them at retail price. Because I enjoy the brand and collecting the hot new waves.

Just scored a bunch of last years Transformers stuff cheap from TJMAXX and ROSS. So hopefully I can continue to score my sealed extras that way.

If the price has to be this way. I'd like the quality to eventually return to the builds of the 2010 Generations and Hunt for the Decepticons line.
