i noticed that some japanese bw2 or bw neo toys have the white hasbro sticker on the box. so does this mean that then hasbro imported them and release them in the states? if so when was this? thanks.

They released them through an online collector's store for a limited time, most notably Lio Convoy and Shadow Panther came out this way. I dont recall what other ones got that treatment.

The only real import release here in the states was Magmatron, who was unchanged from his japanese release, his US box even had japanese writing on it.

Which ones did you see these stickers on ? perhaps they're the molds that originated in the US and were brought over to Japan ..... like BW Neo , the Armadillo mold, the Razorbeast mold, the Iguanus mold , were all from Hasbro and werre then brought to japan for Takara to use ....

the white sticker ones consisted of:

    shadow panther
    galvatron
    leo convoy
    long rack
    stampy

At one point they were all buy one get one free, and there was a gltich in thier system at one point where they didn't charge you (ever) for any orders from them. I remeber ordering 3-4 of each of them during the buy one get one free sale.I think I stll have 1 leo convoy and a galvatron in the closet misb. (opened the rest and tossed the boxes)

Ah, the old hasbrocollectors.com site. AFAIR, the ones Blitzwing256 listed were the only TFs they sold. Never got any TFs from them, but I did get some of the 5" scale DC Superheroes 2-packs -- left-over figures from the defunct Total Justice and Superman: Man of Steel lines. (Hrm. Still need to track down the Metallo set....)

    Yep, 2000-ish.

I remember Hasbrocollector.com. Didn't get much from them as it was fairly early internet days, but I did get the Japanese 'extra white' Tigatron from them. Might be wrong, but I remember them being cheaper on average than importing Japanese toys from other online dealers, though the selection was pretty limited (think maybe they mostly just picked up overstock TFs from Takara.)

Some extra unknown trivia for you guys. Hasbro would eventually sell off the over stock to stores such as the JCPenny outlet. When I worked there we had BW2 galvatron and tigatron for sale for dirt cheap. So technically Bw2 Galvaton had an extremely limited release in the U.S. from Hasbro. If this actually matters to anybody I can dig out one of the old boxes and take a pic of the stckers and price tags
