If Paramount pictures and Michael Bay would really care about the fans, they would get better writers, reduce the lame jokes, cliches and too fast paced scene cutting and provide us better characterization. Though i must say in AoE, the human combat factor was finally reduced and at least the autobots got more dialogs, there was only Galvatron and Lockdown on the villains side as all others were human made transforming drones only.

I don't know if the TLK Drift packaging picture is how he is in the film, but both faces appear the same except that they toned down the prominence of the separation lines on the TLK face so it looks more seamless.

 

The image on the package isn't a good representation of his on-screen counterpart. If you search "Transformers 5 _ Samurai Drift Movie Clip (2017) Transformers: The Last Knight Blockbuster Movie HD" on YouTube, you can see a clip of him on-screen where he looks different than his toy package image. He almost looks younger now.

 

Oh wow, they definitely changed his face!

 

I wouldn't say it looks younger so much as much more mask-like, actually if we were to asssing an age I'd say it looks older. Personally I much prefer his AOE look, face and colours included.

Maybe it's a reference to the 86 movie and how they had simpler face designs.

 

In AOE he looked like a metal samurai statue that came to life. In TLK he looked like a happy boy who could dress up like Drift for Halloween. He does look happy though...

 

He looks like he put on a bit of weight for TLK...

Not sure what's going on, maybe it's the angle, but he looks pretty ugly there. A shame because he looked great in AOE.
