Did anyone think that the deal with Megatron was to kill Ironhide? That's what struck me at first when Sentinel shot Ironhide in the back. Although, I recognized that wasn't the case. Just wondering g if anyone else thought that? Talking about DOTM obviously
lol @ stealthy Cliffjumper. My exact thoughts (if we're talking about FOC here). The game can't be taken seriously. The comics have more merit than the game. Yes, over THOUSANDS of years of planning JUST to kill Ironhide. Space bridge? They were just conveniently there and put them to use.
he saying if anyone when they saw the movie for the first time thought the deal was about sentinel making a deal for megs just to kill ironhide, until they saw the rest of the film
Yes! Dude I'm saying that at that very moment, did anyone think the deal was to kill Ironhide. Everybody knows the real deal, and the only reason why Sentinel shot him is, because he was closet. All I'm saying is at that split second did the thought come to mind.
Y'know guys, I don't think people are over Ironhides death. Where are the countless Threads for WheelJaQ?
Nope, I'm definetely not over his death. All I remember from that scene was being completely shocked, and just about to freak out, cuz that was the worst moment for me
Okay. What did we just spend the last half hour of the film doing? Sentinel mentions that the Pillars are a transportation device. Sam discovers the Decepticon plot to apparently kidnap Sentinel to force him to use the Pillars for their benefit. If the Decepticons got the Space Bridge, "It would mean the end of your world." To quote Optimus Primal: "Finish the quote." Sentinel: "What you must realize, my Autobot brothers, is that we were never going to win the war. For the sake of our planet's survival, a deal had to be made...with Megatron!" I don't exactly think anyone, not even the clueless non-spoiled general audience, would think that Sentinel's deal with Megatron was to just kill Ironhide, when we spent the last 30 minutes discussing how the Decepticons are out for the Space Bridge to destroy humanity. And I highly doubt that anyone would think that Ironhide was the whole reason for Sentinel betraying the Autobots to save an entire planet. To finish my quotes: "Class dismissed."
Yes because the pillars, enslaving humanity, and bringing cybertron to earth had everything to do with ironhide.
I'm one of those people who are not. I still watch the movie from time to time and that scene still gets to me. I understand why the scene was done, but it still saddens me. OT: No, I personally didn't think that was the deal. Sentinel knew the Autobots would never go for the "deal" so when he finally revealed his plan he took out the closest one to him at the time. After Ironhide he tried to take out anyone else around him.
