Yes because I can't help but read spoilers for every type of fiction I enjoy before it releases.

Well I accidently spoiled myself (as I always do), but I can honestly say that I wouldn't have seen it coming if I hadn't already known.

I'm one of those special people who can predict what's going to happen in a movie, seconds after it's blatantly obvious. It's a gift.

"ANOTHER Prime? I bet this one's going to be evil or misguided or something, and Optimus will have to fight for leadership with him."

It's a pretty common story idea.

I blame that guy working for Michael Bay who spoiled everything.

I shrugged it off as a lie. But actually the more thinking about it going in i knew he was a traitor.

This time around I never read any spoilers (I pretty much stayed off here for months before the movie).. and when I saw it I was completely surprised at Sentinel's betrayal and even more at Ironhide's death. After that scene I was shocked for a few minutes.. :lol

I freely admit that if not for the Amazon leak, I probably wouldn't have seen it coming.

No. Only thing even close to suspicion was how someone said his character is complex before the movie came out.

So no I wouldn't have seen it coming if it weren't for spoilers.

well i didn't believe sentinel would betray the autobots till the mentioning of a space bridge and he was the key. then i thought, "uh oh either he's a bad guy or the plot is about megs finding him and torturing him."

If I didn't accidentally read that Sentinel killed Ironhide a month or so before the movie came out, yeah, I think I might have been surprised by the turn. I thought they actually did a decent job with the misdirection about the Cons trying to hunt down & capture Sentinel before the real truth is revealed. That, combined with the very 'hero' look of Sentinel and me not assuming that Nimoy would be voicing a villain (again) was enough to convince me that Sentinel would be a through-and-through Autobot... who would obviously have to die at the end.

i figured hed either die in order to set the mood or betray them only because he was hyped as such a powerful war hero it wouldnt have been dramatic enough

I didn't really speculate, so I can't say I guessed it. Besides, I got spoiled on him killing Ironhide, and then I read the novel anyway.

Damn Amazon.com spoiled me. I likely wouldn't have seen it coming otherwise. The only hint towards any sort of malice from Sentinel was the fact Nimoy was voicing him - I had his portrayal of a similar, maniacal, extremist traitor named Master Xehanort fresh in my mind. And even then, Nimoy's been Spock and other heroes, so my "feeling" wouldn't exactly be justified or backed up.

Ironhide's death, however, I predicted, since he wasn't seen on set in Chicago (already said to be the final battleground). But his death by Sentinel, took me by surprise when I read the Amazon pages.
