Yes, it's out. I want to get it, but I want to know if it went through the same castration process the wii version had to go through. (wiping out all references to Clover Studio)
I have it, haven't popped it in yet but its possible. I just checked the boxart vs. the original and on the GH box, the clover studios logos were removed from the front and the back. Kinda bastardly.
I just played through the whole game, actually, Greatest Hits version, and Clover was stamped all over the place. Absolutely phenomenal game, it's depressing to know it sold so poorly. Deserves better than that.
Clover Studio was shut down just before the game was released and the guys at Capcom largely responsible for the game left the company as well. That might be why the game lost so much steam before release, before hand it was winning tons of praise from critics and E3 awards, it was in line to be the last big PS2 game.
Well, I still have a copy for the PS2 shrinkwrapped seeing as how my 2nd PS2 exploded. Though, i'm about to part with it.
Well damn, I had no idea that a Greatest Hits version was coming out. I was planning to get it for Wii anyway, but now I have another chance to get it for PS2 for cheaper. It's almost like the problem I had with Resident Evil 4. The GameCube version was cheap, then came the PS2 version with more content for more money. I couldn't decide and got neither. At least RE4 now has the Wii version for me to eventually get around to buying.
That's why the Wii version doesn't get the ending credit scroll at all. And poor marketing by Capcom meant that it didn't sell.
