OK I saw the movie last nite and IMO the voice acting for the Fallen character SUCKED.

I also extremely dislike the fact that they chose to have him speak english. IMO an extremely ancient Transformer like The Fallen should exclusively speak Cybertronian.

I think these points above ruined the character. What do you think?

Nah, out of all the things that bothered me, that didn't bother me at all. :)

Wow this is really reaching for something to complain about. Tony Todd has an awesome voice.

    This...

I mean, to each their own... Everyone has their own opinion but...

It almost seems like the haters seach the movie forum going "What can I hate on from the movie that hasn't had a topic started for it yet."

The voice was fine, besides, they're so heavily enhanced through mechanical filters Megatron and the Fallen are barely different in tone of voice. If I didn't knew that it was Weaving who voiced Megatron, I never would've guessed.

The voice did suck. It was pretty jarring to me. One of my few complaints really.

Although I haven't seen this movie yet. I am going to say nothing can be as bad as Animated Perceptor's voice.

I'm not "reaching" or deliberately searching for something to complain about. I really did enjoy ROTF.....I didn't think it was as good as the 1st movie but, it was still good nonetheless

I have been PISSED about all of the bad reviews this movie has been recieving and I have been trying to defend it to people that I know.

It is a bad-ass summer action flick about a race of Transforming robots who has two factions that are warring and kick the shit out of each other. That's just what we got and more. It was a LIVE-ACTION G1 episode if you ask me (with the G1-esque plotholes and all.) and I totally loved it.

If you think I'm another one of these complainers who are looking for things to hate about this movie then you're wrong.

I just think that Todd's voice was wrong for the character. All I could picture was Todd's face whenever they showed the character speaking because his voice was too dominating and to me, I knew who he was. He didn't become the character, the character became Tony Todd IMO.

Besides, the character was an extremely ancient TF and therefore IMO should've been speaking Cybertronian. If he insanely hated humans, why would he stoop to their level and speak their language?

It was just my opinion about one of the only things I really disliked about the movie.

    SPOILER BELOW!!!!!!!!

Megatron could've delivered the message over the television airwaves in english.

I thought the voice acting for The Fallen, Jetfire, and the Ancient Prime were all terribly campy and forced, partly due to the saturday-morning-cartoon-quality dialog and blatant exposition. Optimus Prime's closing monologue was also forced, poorly written and nowhere near the quality of Cullen's monologue performances in the first film. I mean what was with him saying "I send this message" yet again? It's like he has a broadcast radio show now.

These were all easily some of my biggest issues with the film. These character's dialog felt like first-draft material and the voiceovers sounded like placeholders.

Tony Todd worked with Bay in The Rock. He did sound very menacing in that film. But with all the sound effects embellished in TF, its harder to tell.

Completely agree. It's even worse than G1 Wheelie's voice, which is quite a feat to accomplish.

The first time I heard The Fallen speak, I turned to my wife and said "OMG, it's Kurn, Worf's brother on ST:TNG!" LOL
