What a magnificent piece. Opening the deceptively huge box and seeing a toy accurate Soundwave and cassettes was a real joy. If you ever wondered what your Soundwave toy would look like in a real action pose, I fully recommend this statue. It's also a good starter imo for anyone wanting to give statues a try. Soundwave himself is only about 6" tall, and the overall statue is small enough so space isn't an issue.

The detailing on all four figures is just terrific. The coloring is very subdued and realistic, even moreso than Titanium. That was a good idea because it gives the bright background more significance.

My only nitpicks are I wish the bar on Soundwave's back went deeper into the hole in the background. I don't think it's much of a concern, but since that holds him up in mid air, I would like it to feel a bit more secure. I also wish Rumble's eyes were more defined. His visor looks like a square blob of red. It's not that bad since he has a maniac cartoon look though. Other than that, I absolutely love it.

So does it really hang on the wall? Or can it be suited for shelf display?

I'm starting to get more and more into the non-TFing TF's. Just curious.

Would love to see some more pics of it displayed.

I forgot to mention that. I see nothing about wall hanging, so I'm not sure what that means. I just have it sitting on my shelf with my other statues.

My guess is, it's called a wall statue because there's a background covering everything from behind. A normal statue is suited for the middle of a room where it can be seen from all sides, but something like this is meant to be put up against a wall.

careful when assembling the space bridge tho. i chipped the bottom due to excessive force.

and yeah, soundwaves peg is a bit loose, but you can secure it better with a little force.

it really is a value piece, since its like getting 4 figures and a diorama.

nothin' abt wall hanging here too.

also, nightrain, you sig quote needs a [/quote] appended at the end.

Mine just rolled in from BBTS and I have to give it a resounding 'meh'. The pink explosion/light thing was a bad choice, as far as I'm concerned.

I like the Laserbeak and Soundwave sculpts quite a bit, but Soundwave is weak in comparison to the Palisades rendition. Rumble's "drunk frat-boy" face is just embarassing, and very nearly ruins the entire thing for me. SW, Ravage, and LB look menacing and dangerous, and then there's Rumble. Additionally, if you must paint Rumble in cartoon colors instead of red, the purples and blues need to be a bit darker.

I don't hate it, but those couple of small bits leave me scratching my head.
