Odd. Earlier this week they had listed the MTMTE Annual. Wasn't that supposed to have come out already anyway?

Not surprised to see SOMETHING slip off this week, as I'd have been amazed if all three made it out. Disappointed that it's the already-late annual, though.

Hmm... the site I just checked still lists the annual for next week. I'm good either way. I really want to read it, but 3 books including a really expensive annual in one week is really a lot.

I'm ok if they split them up.

-ZacWilliam, I wish they could make it work so we have one TF book every week. That'd be great/

Considering this past issue of MTMTE referenced a conversation between Skids and Chromedown in the annual, I'm surprised IDW delayed it again.

I was excited to see three titles in one week. I like big hauls, and saves me from additional trips.

Honestly, they couldn've placed the other two books on hold.

I wanted the annual like months ago...

    Annoyed about the Annual..

From the solicit for RID though it sounds like the last couple pages of issue 8 were a dream sequence maybe.

IIRC, back when RID and MTMTE started MTMTE was coming out first right?

3-4 months in the switched spots, now MTMTE comes out towards the end of the month.

Roberts, while creating MTMTE each month, has also had to work out the annual in the background, a big venture (and ++more work cause he's doing such a good job lacing all these plots together and making 'whitty banter')

Barber's got RID, but he also edits MTMTE so that's another thing that has to happen. (and isnt he doing the dinobots thing, or the FOC digi only or something?)

So as much as it pains me that i may not read the annual next week, i understand they have a lot on their plate, it;s not just one, stand alone comic for anyone involved (josh is coloring a lot of freaking comics right now lol). I imagine once this annual is out Roberts will be able to catch his breath a little- it'll be Barber's turn to sit in the super hotseat for a while.

In the end, i think they are all working hard, and it shows in their product.

if you guys are reading this, tell hasbro we will buy comic-based toys. if they want to make this portion of the fanbase swoon Rung-toy-ok-please? Also - Tarn ftw!

I think Roberts already caught his breath a while ago, as the annual script would definitely be done by now. Same with Barber and the RiD annual script. I think all that's not finished is the art. Writing-wise, everything would have been done months ago.

The bottleneck is always the art.

Maybe the annual was delayed because they have to fix that error with
    Misfire, Flywheels, and the Necrobot
    .

Fix it for what? That was in MTMTE #8, not the annual. It's too late now, though they'll probably fix it for the trade. But I don't see how that would affect the annual.

What's the difference between trade and annual? I'm no expert on the comic industry, so I just assumed.

the trade is a trade paperback- a collection of 5 or 6 issues all printed in one book.

The annual is special, its like a double size comic basically that is extra on top of the monthly comics...
