i finished son of sparda mode on the weekend, man mission 19 was a bastard! i had to figure out the dice trick, and it made it a little better, but only a little.

so it unlocked heaven or hell mode, which is nuts. enemys (including bosses) die after 1 hit. sword or gun. also, you die in 1 hit too! nuts. it also unlocked dante must die, which is freaking hard. i couldn't beat the first level against Dante.

this game is a beast with the achievments too.

 

I still gotta finish Dante's half of the story ¬_¬

Care to elaborate on the "Dice Trick"?
I'm ignorant.

you wait till the number you want comes up on the top of the dice, then count 6 flips (it always comes back to the same number after 6 flips) and then buster it at say, 5 and a bit flips. once i nailed the timing, i got through level 19 without having to fight anybody except the bosses.

 

Heaven or Hell mode was pretty damn fun though it's easy to blitz through as all you have to do is lock on and shoot, doing it with style is the hard part lol though with Nero its not so bad.

Dante must die mode is crazy ass hard though, surprisingly have made it up to mission 9 on it so far, though I had to stack up on lots of items before each mission. It wouldn't be so bad for me if they didn't stick so many of those damn Blitz guys in there as they absolutely destroy you. Those floating guys also give me fits as well as they are very hard to kill. One thing in the early goings that caught me off guard as well was those Frost guys as all of a sudden they get hard as fuck as well.

After my first time going through the game on easy I would have said the same thing but after playing through on Devil Hunter and Son of Sparda I like Dante better. Both are good but in different ways, I like Nero for the Devil Arm and he's easier to move around but lacks the punch that Dante has. As such I like Dante because he definitely more powerful, especially with the Devil Trigger activated as you can just wreck everything and anything. In general though Dante's attacks just pack so much more and you have a lot more tools at your disposal to work with. He is harder to control then Nero though, that and I do find when you make the switch over to him it takes time to readjust between the two.

 

I got bored without the grabby  

 

you got bored after 1 level man. you didnt even give Dante a chance!

if you ever play SoS you'll realise the grab is almost useless as half the time while you're busy slamming somone into the floor repeatedly, some big badass monster in a suit of armour tries a reacharound on you and rapes you in the bathing suit area.

ps. you need to see the lucifer cutscene.

 

I thought that was the case, but could never get the timing right. It really pissed me off.

Also I love it when you and Twist get into it, I would love to see it in person.
