While I wait patiently for my DL Blaster to arrive, I've been pondering what other transformers the line could potentially give us.

Anyone any weird, whacky or plain awesome ideas?

I think a web-cam that converts into reflector wouldn't be out of the question.

A universal TV remote that converts into a junkion?

reflector is an obvious, yet awesome one. :D

    I'd like....

A portable USB laptop speaker. Round, dark green with gold details that transforms into Cosmos. :D

These are 2 really neat ideas. I was thinking of potentially having a gamepad or a working keyboard, but I hadn't thought of which characters they would be.

Might get expensive, but could be fun :)

    Just crazy enough to work!

Don't know about a working keybord, but I'd say a gamepad might word quite well. There was a Real Gear robot modelled after one a while back.

Maybe a USB powered desk fan that transforms into omega supreme? with his claw hand being the fan blades?

An attachment for the Wiimote and Nunchuk akin to the Wii Zapper that turns into Megatron. A grey Wiimote and Nunchuk would be sold with it.

does anyone realize that Blaster's design was kinda outdated? I mean USB hub isn't as useful as it used to be a year or two ago. This is because most of the new computers and motherboards are designed to have more and more USB ports. A standard desktop now have 4-6 ports.

I think any other "device label" that would be useful on the computer would cost quite the amount.

For example, they can make a digital camera bot, but to have the camera function at least decently, would cost a lot. So would a monitor, etc.

^ I'm wondering that myself. I was excited when I heard of Ravage with more space and sold in US...but that was the last I heard of it.

I kinda want Blaster, but my wallet can't take it right now. A USB hub wouldn't even be awful for me cause my laptop only has two ports, but I'm never using both anyway. I'd really be getting it to duel Straxus. :lol

I don't recall them ever being meant for a US release. Most of them are just novelty items anyway, and don't have any significant real-world use.

    1Gb mp3 player?
    2Gb USB Flash drive?
    A USB Hub?

There are far better on the market.

Transformers Device Label Series To Be Released In The US By Toshiba - Transformers News

Toshiba is apparently on the case.

Or at least, they were on the case: Scans of Toshiba Transformers Device Label Sales Advertisement

Not sure if they only carried them for a short time or not.

Oh god I would so buy that.

Howabout a purple transforming flashlight that turns into Shockwave? The technology and premise seem easy enough anyway, provided they don't give him the brick arm of Shockblast.

Reflector as a webcam is a brilliant idea. It would be madness, MADNESS not to make that!

We need some sort of Laserbeak/Buzzsaw mold, as well. Even doing it as another USB drive would work. But if not that, maybe a small speaker set? Or some other little random USB devices like tiny LED flashlights?

The Reflector webcam/digital camera seems the most likely/obvious idea, as it fits the nature of the Music & Device label lines perfectly (working cheapo low-end device crammed into a Transformer toy, and sold for somewhere between three and ten times what an equivalent Transformer toy or equivalent device costs) They might not do Reflector though, as he/they are not a 'top tier' character Tomykara would prefer for a pricey electronic toy.

I'd take more cassette character USB sticks, especially if they could reduce the price a bit.

    Frenzy - speaker set

    Rumble - force-feedback gamepad

Laserbeak - optical mouse, or a much more pricey option - external CD burner

Ha! Brilliant! Batshit insane, but brilliant!

The thing about the range is that they aren't really for 'proper' use. I mean, device label soundwave needed memory cards to play music. THe ravage usb is so bulky you can't plug anything into the ports beside him.

The range is based on gimmicks. Just happens to be gimmicks I like :) .

i like the idea of more usb cassettes.
