According to Autobase Aichi, several online shops have announced that Device Label Broadblast (the product name has been changed recently) was cancelled.

Originally he was to be released in September, then postponed to December, now this.
Though this month issue of Hyper Hobby reported the new expected release as next spring, so there is still a possibility that this product will be released eventually.

That would be horrible if true, as it was the major reason why I bought any Device Label figures.

    DRAT. DRAT. DRAT.

I really really wanted him to go along with Music Label Soundwave. :(

I really hope he still comes out eventually.

-ZacWilliam, really bummed to have to cross this guy off my x-mas list.

Why in the world would they go through all that trouble of developing the figure just to cancel it?? Gah, I hate that!

Interesting... if true, is it a reflection of Device Label USB sales?

As much as we liked them, I didn't see them being huge sellers, considering the price + the limited capacity.

Yeah the only one I cared about was Blaster. I need him for my classic set up vs MP3 soundwave.

hilariously, the USB hub was virtually the only item in that line that wouldn't be obsolete on release! (the mice don't count because they're shit)

did i say hilariously? i meant irritatingly. :/

If retailer orders are lower than projections, they may figure it might be cheaper to absorb the sunk costs rather than spending a lot more money distributing it. But I guess we'll wait and see if this is confirmed.

I highly doubt Takara would develop a mold but never release it. It'll get released, but probably in 2010.

Worst news of the day, for sure. I love my Ravage and was very excited to add Blaster to the Classics shelf. Damn it. :banghead:

They could release a non working version as part of classics/Henkei and we'd be all over it.

That never reached the molding stage that Broadcast likely reached. The better example would be the Chrono Label figures that were cancelled a few months ago.

Who really bought them just for the capacity though? I sure as hell didn't.
