I just finished this commission Devastator. He's my 3rd devy, and most favorite one I've done.

I tried some different colors on him, and I like the way he came out. I especially like the metallic purple.

My main goal was to have a mixmaster who doesn't partsform, which I achieved, and I'm really happy about that.

There's also a LED light in his head, which is something I'm trying to get the hang of.

Well anyways, someone asked me to post this devy from my Defensor thread, and here he is.

now, F_R and Sabby, hurry up and post that masterpiece! :)

and like always, devy was inspired by ptitvite and everyone else's.

Very nice. I think the Unicron arms worked better for this and Predaking than Defensor, though.

Sweet. I don’t get tired of seeing these Ptivastators. I just finally finished one of my own. Still need to paint it which I’m being lazy about. I was able to figure out a non-partsforming transformation for MM using the Barricade mold too, but it required extensive scratchbuilding. Like FR, I’m also interested in seeing how your MM transforms. I think how I know it goes but I’m not sure. The arms fold into the cab in vehicle mode and leg mode? In vehicle mode, is there a bit of a gap between the cab and the mixing drum though?

Never mind: was typing the above before you posted the transformation pics. Looks real nice.

This looks really nice. It's quite an upgrade from your 1st Devastator, you should be proud.

The Unicron shoulder joints add a lot of width to the upper body so my only critique would be that the chest plate looks a tad too small. Otherwise this looks very cool.

hey, I just noticed the Unicron shoulders also. You love using those, huh? Only gripe about them is there's now 2 more extra parts :(

I too, need to find a method to allowing room so that hook's crane can stay on the shoulder.

Cool pics man! This is a beastly take on "Ptivastator" (nice one VP). Your execution is really clean and sharp. This thing looks 100% factory.

thanks. i def. took a risk with the colors, but i think he came out okay.

thanks man. he's def. better than the first one. i've learned from a lot of mistakes and have learned tons of new techniques and ideas, thanks to everyone here. :)

thanks man. the mixer drum and mixer can came from 2 different toy trucks, called mighty trucks or something like that. little $3.00 toys from a store called Maxway.

yep lol they've been working pretty good for shoulder joints, giving them 360 degree turns, and upward and downward articulation. I've been looking for a new way to do the shoulder connections.

and on this devy, the shoulder connectors are connected to the "chasis", which connects hook to longhaul. so there's the head, 2 forearms, 1 "chasis", and waist/thighs.

yea, this time around, i used a simple lego, allowing hook to stay fully closed, and still having the head centered.

thanks bro, that means a lot to me.

and also, i ordered the PK's yesterday, so if u still want one, I ordered an extra PK.

Awesome! I do prefer the thighs metallic or black, but it's really cool like this! The forearms look extra massive for some reason, maybe the shading! Looks fantastic! You guys are gonna convince me to try making one of these yet!:thumbs2:
