Hi guys here is my first scratch/build so be gentle haha!

massive massive thanks to Sioce for his invaluable help with this and shout out to the man Ptitvite for his creative genius!

id never done this before so i thought id jump straight in the deep end....

he is about 90 percent built id say.just gotta make that chest thingy and im gonna try use a ball joint on mixmasters cab .

I tried to do a few things different with this one....

first of i wasn't really digging those add on connectors so i found ways to attach the connectors directly to the robots.doing so,without affecting the transformation was a complete nightmare and caused much hair loss but i got there in the end with lots of modding.i changed the transformation around on scavenger/grimlock so that the connectors can be attached without affecting his robot mode.i did the same with bonecrusher/wedge.

painting has always been my thing and im a virgin at all this building!on the subject iv got some saucy ideas for the paint app.whether or not it turns out like what i have in my head is another thing though.....

let me know your thoughts!i realize people are probably sick of this custom but i just needed to do it as i have starred obsessively at pics of this custom for 2 years now and realized this was gonna be the only way i could afford one!

UPDATE! here are some pics of how i do mixmaster as requested.i felt like i wanted to make this version more compact in order to make the scale closer to that of a cement mixer.im gonna redo the connections on him as i have a better idea which i discovered by accident a few days ago....

ignore the tattyness im doin the clean up stage next!

UPDATE!JUST FINISHED THE CHEST PIECE PAINTING STARTS SOON!IM SCARED NOW.......

    Looks great man!
    Good luck on the painting.
Practice on something that is not important to you.
And don't use alchohol to clean the figures (bad things will happen!)

Glad I was able to help with it.

A fellow jordy ohh this is fantastic! first welcome aboard and let me say you are doing fantastic on this kitbash since its your first. I must admit taking devy on was a very good first time approach I remember my first ones, I did BW versions of some of my favorite G1 characters turned out okay but the paint was BAD! Recently I did one of animated wing prime and well now I'm doing bigger things with him. I really need to talk to the guys you talked to to try and get some of my gestalts worked out as well. Any ways you're doing great!

I can't speak for everyone, but personally, I'll NEVER get tired of seeing Devi projects! Yours is coming along really nice. I'll be watching to see it all painted.

Lookin good, I felt the same about this one too, had to do it for myself too. One thing I havent seen, that I'm gonna do when I do another one (had to sell mine, but have extras to build another) is the G2 Orange paint scheme. I think it'd look bitchin, but nobody has tried it yet.

im gonna battle damage this one rather than airbrush all the green and purple im gonna drybrush the whole thing make it look real dirty.iv got a couple of cool ideas for some add on parts that should look cool.

Looks nice. I'll probably do one of my own someday.

I don't recognize what you have going on with Mixmaster tho. Can you tell me what you have in there?

nothing new really i just took it apart in a different way.its the usual energon barricade and i used lego joints rather than magnets on the legs.the cab and barrel were just a lucky fit from some cheap construction set off ebay.check out my update pics.
