    Hello,
So I'm buying a new car and trying to save to go to San Diego Comic Con next year, which means money's a bit tight. I currently have a pre-order for TFClub's Exgraver. $100 a part seems a bit steep. I am curious what the other Not Dev's is going to be (the Maketoy one). But it seems the cheapest way to go will be just buying the encore one. From what I'm told a G1 Devastator doesn't hold together too well. Any ideas if the encore one is going to be made with better plastic and will thus hold together well? In the end, it's easier to save for a trip and a car when I'm paying $130 (or so) as opposed to $600. Any ideas out there?

G1 devy holds together fine if all you're gonna do is put it on a shelf. Now if you're gonna make it battle Autobots that's another matter hehe.

Well....even my green KO one seems to be just fine.....
I pick him up and move him around the desk and it holds together fine. Though, I haven't made him "battle" any autobots yet :D  so....that part I can't answer.

    Plastic won't be any better.

Tolerances? Won't be able to say conclusively until it's out in the wild, and a few people have one.

You know.....if you look at the cartoon, Devastator, after battling the Autobots for a while (specially the Dinobots), didnt hold himself together. Maybe its something the toy had to be cartoon accurate?

I had the original as a kid and played with him pretty regularly and never had a problem. Fast forward to now and I have the yellow G2 version and he holds together fine.
Would definitely throw down the $130 and get the new reissue; you'll love him.
