...well, he does! Watch the trailer, when he's sucking in Mudflap, check out his right arm. There's a little two gun turret that tracks Mudflap as he enters his mouth. At first I thought it was smokestacks or something, but no, it is a little gun turret!

Well, I guess it's so people don't climb on him when he's in grinder mode?


Let me see if I can find a screen capture. Has TFW done screen caps for the third trailer yet? Well, if you watch the trailer you can see it quite clearly, regardless.

 

Might it be for his grappling hook launchers? I know the 3rd trailer had him firing those bad boys up the side of the pyramid, so they could be one and the same.

Or they fire live ammunition.

Or Devastator kicks more ass by firing grappling hooks into/through other robots  

 

Ah, so he does have firepower. Sweeeeeet.

 

Nah, it's tiny, and looks like one of Lugnut's guns on a mount. His grapples are as big as his fingers. (if not just his fingers that shoot out attached to ropes)

Oh yeah how cool! Also note all the black smoke behind him, wonder if thats coming from him or from a huge explosion behind him.

 

Maybe everything he grinds up is turned into dust/smoke.

on the subject of those grappling hooks...I can't tell from the trailer which arm they come from, but wouldn't it be appropriate if he fired the grappling hooks from his Hightower arm, a.k.a. the crane?

 

Yeah, holy heck that'll be cool to see. What a monster! It reminds me of some other giant mecha that had huge clouds of exhaust smoke billowing out of it but i cant think of what it was...maybe something from big-o or some other anime?

 

Dude, that shot of Dev climbing up the pyramid would look so much cooler with smoke billowing out of him.
