Hook is the second in the series. I didn't do too much modding to him, other than some alterations (I think the head)

I welded the crotch area together, and you can see one of my favorite ball joint sockets (Zoid rubber thingys) this figure becomes Devastator's chest area, and that socket is used to holster Devastator's head, and provides great 360 degree/ up and down movement.

On his left shoulder you can see the socket for where the right arm of Devastator snaps into. Again, a Neo-Shifter socket joint.

Again, I used Testor's water slide decals on the tiny details (fun: can you find my initials on him?) There's lots of cool little details here and there. As with all my customs, he's painted in about 90% testor's enamels. Primed with a custom fusion blend (from the WIP thread) then blended 4 lighter shades of the lime green (a little less neon than G1)

    Anyway, here's Hook!

You use Zoid caps as sockets? Very interesting... :peoples:  (there totally needs to be a beard-scratching smiley :p )

I'm kinda thrown by the lopsided grin, which doesn't seem overly Hookish, but I know that's because that's Heavy Load's head, which I admit definitely looks more like him. Very cool fig overall. Does the crane cannon fit on Dev's shoulder? It seems like it'd be a good analogue for his head-mounted rocket launcher...

Zoid caps are the greatest ball joint sockets around. not too tight not lose either.

I liked the grin on this mold, he's got the goofy build and a big gun, and after reading his bio, i think it fits his personality well.

hey I just noticed that this one doesn't have the arm mod that ptitvite's had, did you choose to keep it this way?

i did. I saw his and enclines, and didn't want to go into the hassle, besides I really like the bulky look of his shoulders, to me he looks like a heavily armored military robot.

f_r, you've done such a great job with your work, and once again I have to point out the excellent choices you and others (like Ptitvite) have done on choosing the base mold. Hightower suits Hook so well. I know we got a Decepticon reissue of the mold, but taking them and really pushing the envelope really deserves applause. One of the cool things I've always seen with Radicons is taking something given, pushing the envelope of it, and making something better. There's a lot to be said of course with taking a toy and completely transforming it into a different character and toy, but it's always cool to see a toy pushed to the different level of cool. Great job!

This guy is one of my favorites of your group. You usual level of excellence is present here and everything really looks nice. Great job :thumb

At first I thought he was just a repaint. Your custom bits blend in well! The detail in his paint apps are wonderful.
