Okay, I'm hyped. If this becomes the first film adaptation of a video game that actually succeeds at the box office, I'll be amazed.

 

I was cautious until I saw the first trailer. This and Godzilla 2 needs more hype.

 

It's even more funnier when you realize they both have Ken Watanabe in it.

 

Legendary Developing Third Live-Action Pokémon Movie Based On Original Games

Supposedly there's going to be more, setting up a Pokemon cinematic universe.

 

Three movies based on gen 1 games. I basically said they should do this years ago with the titles of Red, Blue and Yellow.

 

Actually from what I’ve read, the second movie will be about

and the third movie will be about Red’s journey.

With money symbols all over his costume, and he looks like the Monopoly guy. Uses bags of money as weapons. Bags filled with solid gold...

 

That sounds more like Meowth in a silly costume.

 

I'm just gonna share this since April's coming soon.

 

Turns out they're gonna be animal sounds.

 

I'd enjoy the thought of a live action pokemon cinematic universe more if it wasn't WB behind it. Look at how well their past cinematic universe offerings have gone.  

 

You can thank Ryan Reynolds for that. The Green Lantern jokes in the Deadpool movies is the reason WB is doing Pokémon Detective Pikachu.
Cause he pretty much likes to poke fun at himself.

 

Its so weird (in a good way) hearing Ryan's voice coming out from pikachu xD

Ryan Reynolds is amazing. This movie however......It would have been better if Ryan tried at all to mask his voice because it really sounds like Pikachu is Deadpool.
