Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is a big sequel -Destructoid
Definitely intrigued by the prospect of swapping out characters mid-level.
Though man, looks like I'll have to buy a console to play this
I don't think you swap characters in all the levels. Another article wrote about how a cutscene with Starscream and Grimlock was the segue between the Decepticon campaing and the autobot one. So you play a level as Starscream, end it with a cutscene with Grimlock, then resume playing AS Grimlock when it ends. If I understood it correctly.
HMS already stated that each level is made for the character you play in that level, which is why they don't have coop.
Literally what was going through my mind when I read that
Hey... The MP was standard affair with FPS because they took the generic approach to the combat but with better weapons and abilities this time the game should be better.
Not to mention sprint.
I don't care about pointless gimmicks like what name they're going to drop in. I want them to fix hit detection, host migration, class balance, response times, and that stupid glitch where you can't damage an AI if they're transforming. Playing as whatever G1 cartoon background nobody doesn't amke a good game. Good mechanics make a good game, and WFC had the most broken, buggiest mechanics I've seen in a long time.
There's a few things wrong with this. One, it's not an FPS, it's a third person shooter, or over-the-shoulder shooter. Second, taking the generic approach was not a good thing at all. That just goes to show how incompetant they are that they don't even make a multiplayer that fits the subject matter. Transformers combat is anything but generic.
Which is probably why its so hard to nail
Either way, game sounds cool. Can't wait to play it. Pity they're hyping it now and we still gotta wait the better part of the year for it
It's sounding great fun so far but I'd like to know just how many playable characters there are throughout the single player campaign.
Separate names with a comma.
