What's the deal with this Scourge figure? I've never seen on ever and his truck mode looks really cool. Anyone know anything about this guy?

For that matter, I'm puttin a want ad for this guy, so if anyone has one, let me know.

Does he have the missile pumps on his back?

This was a KB Toys exclusive released years ago. He is a repaint of the Generation Two deluxe sized Hero Optimus Prime mold. The missiles can be attached to his back in robot mode and fired using the air pump cannon on his arm. It is an excellent figure considering how old it is and it looks much better as Scourge than as Optimus Prime, in my opinion. You should try to get it.

He's a bit hard to pose and balance because he's got no heels. Neat figure nonetheless.

I remember seeing some very nice pictures of him at a member's website, but I can't remember who :(

The pump doesn't stay on the back with mine. Maybe I'm putting it wrong....

the pump stays on mine, barely. the missiles pop off alot so I leave them off, and as syndeyY said, no heels and huge feet make it hard to stand sometimes since the feet come all the way up to the knee but dont snap in, they just sit there, do make it hard to pose.

Also this was his counterpart...same deal.

I'll be selling my MOSC version soon. I found looking through the package that it has a factory defect: half of its grill is missing. Hopefully the fact that it's still sealed will still net me retail value back.

The mold degraded between G2 and RiD, so the pump, as well as the missiles, have a very hard time staying attached to his back (and it makes him top heavy when they're on). Also, he's missing ratchets in his waist, so it's hard to get his vehicle mode level.

I actually decided to cut the hose off his pump and attach it to Energon Shockwave, which both makes him less top heavy and makes Shockwave more G1-ish. It kinda messes up his vehicle mode, but not much.

He does look great in those colors though. I guess in-continuity, he's supposed to be an alternate version of Scourge, but I use him as a drone partner of Scourge, sort of like an evil Roller.

I had one... but I sold or traded it... what a dumb idea.

Mine wasn't complete and he was hard to pose, thats mostly why I sold him. Oh well.

Now that I've got a few Nemesis Primes... i'd like to get one back :(

Ah sweet. I'm still hunting one down as we speak. He's the only black convoy other than the jafcon black prime I don't already have.

Is a decent figure but I don't like much that "false chest".

Yeah that barrel chest makes him the fugliest Scourge/Black Convoy, but he's still worth getting since I collect them.

Ah, thank you for the info. So there is a reason for the pump needing a blu-tack. I don't have the guts to cut the hose off, but your idea sounds cool. Will you post a pic in the other thread?

I never actually thought who that Scourge was as I often neglect bio of a character, but I think I vaguely consider him as a little brother of RiD Scourge :lol

I know...he's so flat from the side :redface2:  He only looks good from certain angle.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu_Tack :)

My mate in the UK said it's white-tack over there. It's handy to hold a toy still as well when taking pictures, though that Scourge in my picture is balancing on his own. He can do that much, sort of.
