Eccleston? Sweet! Doctor Destro!

 

Not sure if I can see him as destro. He doesn't have the voice and I'm not sure if he would be in the mask now.

 

Dang! I was looking at the pic of Chris but confusing his voice with Tennant's for a second, who really does have a Scottish accent. Still I like Chris and think he'll do a good job.

 

I LOVED Eccleston's Doctor.

To all the UK members who said Tennant would grow on me, you're absolutely right, he did. But I think the writing had a lot to do with it. If I had to choose, I would rather have seen Tennant in the Eccleston episodes (more whimsical) and vice versa.

Anyways, yeah, love the casting choice. Still not holding my breath about the film, but this is neat.

Interesting...he'd have to drop his Northern (England) accent of course...and buff up quite a bit!

What's all this about no mask on Destro?!? Without the mask he's just...evil bloke no.3...

 

Are we sure this isn't a case of Eccleston changing his mind about taking the role, and a convenient cover story was made up about the original guy?

 

This..is the best thing I've heard about the Joe movie yet. I am officially in.

 

Fantastic! Aside from his stint as the Doctor, I always thought he was pretty cool in Gone and Sixty Seconds and 28 Days Later. Thought it was awesome when he showed up during Heroes.

 

Awesomeness abound!

 

Not to knock any of the other actors, but this is the first bit of casting that's really gotten me excited. I really liked Eccleston as the Doctor, and he was good on 'Heroes' too.

 

Like I said in the other thread, awsome news. The Doctor is Destro! At least we know it's someone who has some acting chops now for the main bad guy of the movie. No offence to the other guy but the only thing I've seen him in was that 5 or 10 seconds in Batman Begins.

 

For this movie (from the script descriptions and reviews) Destro needed to ooze confidence and charisma. Eccleston has both in spades. Plus I can see Eccleston kicking some ass when need be.

 

Character and personality he may have in spades...but does he have the rippling pecs to play the role correctly? And how's he look in a berylium steel mask?

 

This movie is looking more and more promising, Eccleston was my 2nd fave Doctor.  

 

That never stopped Ricardo Montalban.

 

Aren't there rumors that he wore a rubber chestpiece for that role?  

 

I didn't think they were rumors. I thought that was pretty much confirmed.
