I hope a thread like this doesn’t exist, but if it did or still does, please forgive my newness and kindly direct me to it m(_ _)m I’m also not too sure where to place this topic, I’m hoping this is the right place f^_^;

If you could be part of the Binaltech/Alternator team choosing which cars to use for which transformers, which cars would you choose?

Below is a list of vehicles I would have chosen for the first run of Autobots along with the car I would have chosen for Tracks. I tried my best to stay away from German made cars, as I’ve heard they will not give Hasbro their blessing—not sure if Mclaren is British or German though 

Anyways, my choices would be:

Mini Cooper: Bumblebee 1st choice

Nissan March: Bumblebee 2nd choice

Nissan Sports Concept: Cliffjumper & Hubcap

Mclaren F1: Mirage

Custom Japanese van (make unknown): Ironhide

Ford Model U: Brawn & Outback (same vehicle, but variant model)

Acura RD-X concept SUV: Trailerbreaker

Suzuki Jimny Sierra: Gears & Swerve (same car, but variant model)

Mazda Roadster: Windcharger & Tailgate (same car, but variant model)

Lotus Elise: Wheeljack

Maserati MC12: Wheeljack (2nd choice)

Bugatti 16/4 Veyron: Jazz

Mitsubishi Fuso: Huffer & Pipes

M1046 Humvee: Hound

Lamborghini Gallardo SE: Sunstreaker

Lamborghini Murcielago: Sideswipe

Toyota Volta: Sideswipe & Sunstreaker (w/spoiler and other variant—assuming Lamborghinis are off limits)

TVR Sagaris:
Bluestreak (Prowl too I suppose, but a little farfetched as a police car…albeit sexy)

Humvee Ambulance: Rachet

Chevrolet SS: Tracks

Sure the thread's been done before (about once every three months, so we were about due), but I appreciate the work you put into finding the pics. The second Bumblebee is actually a better choice than the Mini Cooper- especially in that color.

I assume there'll be a Q/A at Botcon this year, in which case, could someone ask them if Nissan were ever approached about licensing??

 

The colors shown in the provided pictures don’t necessary reflect the color schemes the alternate modes should be, but just the make of the alternate modes—I got lucky a few times finding suitable color schemes.

Size-wise, I thought the Mini Cooper would have been an excellent substitute for Bumblebee, but design-wise, the Nissan March is gold—its design is pleasingly similar to that of a Volkswagen bug. The idea of the March all started with me doing laundry today  A Nissan March drive by, and thought that’d be a pretty cool Bumble Bee.

The only problem I'd have with this choice is its size; it would make Bumblebee taller than I think he should be.

Ford Escape Hybrid for Brawn and Outback, IMHO.

 

I think the Hummer H3 would actually suit Brawn quite well.

 

I think the GTO would make a good Hot Rod.

I dunno, I never quite saw the van version of the Batmobile as being a good alt mode for Ironhide...

Still, the rest are some decent choices. Though I myself would prefer the 2CV as Bumblebee, just 'cause.

 

 

I want Silverstreak, Smokescreen and Ricochet as the WRX...

if they did that, I think its safe to say the things would fall apart on us due to mold over-use!

Hey if you demand a GTO as Hot Rod... I demand those three...

ya know, I suggested a whole new mold.. you want another three copies of a slightly remolded SUBARU ... as if 6+ aren't enough?  

 

The only GTO I want to see used for Hot Rod is the 1974 version, not that gawd awful new version. I hate that round bulbous atrocity. No offense, Redline, but I hate seeing old car names I loved used for vehicles such as the new GTO.

I want a Kup,Blurr,and yes Wheelie,Alternators. I realize I'll catch
some for putting Wheelie in there,but I really liked him in G1. Wish
they'd bring him back in the classics line or the movie if not the
alts line.

 

 

In that spirit, I want the Dodge Viper as Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, and Dead End.
