You've been requested to create a trilogy of live-action Transformers films. You have god-like control over the entire project. Budget is not an issue.

Explain the details of your Transformers trilogy: Director, Actors, Characters, and most importantly, Plot.

I like what Bay did with Transformers, so not much I'd change. Except for Ironhide having to die. :)

Basically the Bay movies with actual character development FOR THE ROBOTS, more sensible plots, and less wacky paint jobs.

Describe it though, guys. Actually tell what you would do. What characters would be included? Give plot elements. Be creative.

If it means really I have god like, as in CHRISTIAN GOD LIKE powers [i.e unlimited] over the project, then I'd go..

    - A Trilogy set on the past, showing the beginning of the Transformers race, and how everything began.

    - First talking about Primus and Unicron's beginnngs and how they created Cybertron, and then how all the fighting began.

    CAST:

    Unicron - John Noble.

    Primus - Ian McKellen.

Early the movie, they would argue what to do: Primus would want to create life and teach them with the concept of good and evil [supposedly, he created both concepts], while Unicron would think that no life can match their greatness, thus all life except themselves is useless [he isn't a omnicidial maniac yet, just an arrogant douche].

Primus would be shown trying to create life countless times, to no avail ["confirming" Unicron's worldview], after a while Primus would resort to more extreme techniques: Using his own life essense to create life, this would result in the creation of the AllSpark [almost killing himself in the process].

He would keep the key to creating life a secret [since he's brother hates life and all].

With the AllSpark at hand, Primus would create the first Transformers, one by one, monologuing about each of their personalities and utilities and how he created them while we watch him crafting their bodies.

First, he would create a lesser copy of himself:

    Prima - Leonard Nimoy.

    Then, a guardian of time:

    Vector Prime - Anthony Hopkins.

    Then, a fierce warrior:

    Megatronus Prime - Tony Todd.

Now, a figure that mirrors his brother, a guardian of darkness:

    Liege Maximo - Christopher Lee.

Proceeding to the master of trickery:

    Amalgamous Prime - Jeremy Irons.

And the guardian of all knowledge:

    Alpha Trion - Liam Neeson.

And a creature that can combine endlessly, a symbol of union:

    Nexus Prime - Ewan McGregor.

    The first female, a weaposmith:

    Solus Prime - Milla Jovovich.

    The master crafter:

    Alchemist Prime - Gary Oldman.

    A transformer like no other:

Beast-Mode Transformer - David Kaye. Yesss.

A diminutive creature with hidden secrets:

Minicon Mode Prime - Jet Li. I don't know why.

    [and two other guys]

After doing all of this, he would be filled with Pride and joy, and try to show it to his brother.

As you can expect, his brother would be filled with rage, seeing them as abominations, a disgrace to their existence, his brother would then leave, exiling himself out of disgust towards Primus.

We would spend some time showing Primus and the Thirteen arguing about what the Cybertronian society would be, and coming up with the idea of the Quintessons to aide them in the Government.

Back to Unicron, he would finally snap, thinking his brother betrayed him, and finally deciding the universe would only be at peace if HE were the only thing in existence, and so he would begin to wreck the universe as he always did.

Then, just as Primus and the Thirteen are about to create Cybertron, Unicron would come in, facing his brother in a titanic battle of epic proportions, said battle would result with Unicron being exiled away and Primus entering in a comma, using his last breath to turn himself into Cybertron.

Now, the Thirteen would be on their own, paving way for a second movie.

Well, It's a wall of text, so I think I should stop here.

My story would be very similar to the Bay movies, but I'd change a few things along the way. I would have the NEST base located underneath Denver International Airport because there are dozens of conspiracies about that place and it emphasizes the hiding in plain sight idea. I would have let the Fallen live at the end of ROTF and return in the third movie with Unicron. I would have kept at least one of the Arcee sisters alive and I'd put Cliffjumper and Air Raid into the movies.

I did this in a plot sharing thread a while back. Not a trilogy, but more of a follow up of DOTM.

    TF4 -

It is three years after the events of Dark of the Moon. Sam and Carly have went there own way and Bumblebee now spends both times with them and NEST. Epps rejoins the army and William Lennox retains his position of Colonel and is now in full control of NEST, and only answers to the President. Many of the Decepticon corpses are melted down, but some resist the heat and are buried deep below the Arctic. A small force is constantly at that location...but contact is scarce and only few are allowing in or out.

Following the destruction of Cybertron, two Autobots (Prowl and Cliffjumper) who had hidden from Shockwave during his reign on Cybertron, managed to flee the collapsing Space Bridge and hid on the Moon for several years before arriving on Earth. Prowl tries to convince Optimus that not all of Cybertron was destroyed and there are Autobots still out there that are trapped on the ruined planet. Optimus, following the events of DOTM, is indecisive and finds it hard to trust people due to Sentinel's betrayal. He is also an emotional wreck due to Ironhide and Wheeljack's death, and also recounts over the countless Decepticons he has slain. Due to this, Ratchet and Sideswipe treat with Prowl. Whilst Sideswipe wishes to rescue any Autobots trapped on Cybertron (he believes Sunstreaker, his brother, is among them), Ratchet wants to wait and see what happens. Lennox backs Ratchet, claiming that they should be certain whether the Decepticon threat to Earth has been neutralised before the Autobots begin sending out expeditions.

Months later, another transformer crash lands into Earth. The Autobots investigate and find that it is Blurr, an Autobot who has spent centuries in Shockwave's prisons and has been driven insane. He attacks Mirage before he is restrained by the Wreckers, he is taken into custody and Ratchet begins trying to heal him. Blurr relays information that Cybertron was not wholly destroyed, some of the planet teleported back, some of it hadn't even begun teleporting and some of it was completely destroyed. Optimus finallys breaks out of his morbid mood and says that he will go to Cybertron to investigate and see if there are any Autobots left. Sideswipe goes with him.

Optimus and Sideswipe arrive on Cybertron after Ratchet manages to use Sentinel's old space bridge technology to get them there. They find out that Straxus and a relatively unknown Decepticon, Cyclonus, have taken control of what is left of the Decepticons. They also find that many of the Cybertronians no longer have an alleigance and will simply kill on sight for whatever Energon remains. Optimus and Sideswipe struggle to avoid detection and even have to destroy an entire group of Decepticons led by Thrust at one point and finally learn from an Autobot named Hound, that there are some Autobots who had rallied and held their own small section of land not far from their position. They also learn that Straxus has been aided in his rise to power by not only Cyclonus, but by a Decepticon who had apparently escaped Earth with some precious cargo and Straxus has recently just launched his new superweapon. Hound accompanies them to this location, but warns Straxus always has the Autobots besieged.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, Optimus' signal is picked up and is steadily approaching Earth's atmosphere. After crash landing, the Autobots make a terrible discovery about Optimus...it is not Optimus at all, rather nearly an exact copy of him along with another Decepticon, Skywarp, who was at Chicago and escaped Megatron's final defeat. The Optimus copy proclaims himself as Nemesis Prime and attacks. Ratchet orders the Autobots to fall back, but Skywarp creates a forcefield, trapping the Autobots in with Nemesis Prime. Ratchet tries to contact NEST but his communications are cut off. Nemesis deploys dual energon swords, exactly the same as Optimus', and slices down Mirage in mere seconds. The Wreckers hold Nemesis at bay with ranged weapons but are attacked by Skywarp, who kills Roadbuster. Leadfoot is enraged at the death of his friend and tackles Skywarp to the ground only for Nemesis to blast him to pieces. Ratchet charges Skywarp as the remaining Autobots (Topspin, Blurr, Prowl, Cliffjumper and Bumblebee) hold off Nemesis. Ratchet and Skywarp battle it out, until finally Ratchet gets the upper hand and slices Skywarp in half with his buzzsaw. On the brink of death, Skywarp claims the Autobots are too late, as Nemesis Prime is only one half of his mad experiment. With Skywarp's death, the forcefield collapses and Ratchet orders the Autobots to retreat as he is finally able to contact NEST. However, Blurr, driven by rage and his insanity, continues to assault Nemesis. Despite his best efforts, the demented version of Optimus Prime simply shrugs off his attacks and shoots Blurr down. Despite being badly wounded, Blurr tries to get back up and attack Nemesis again but is dragged away by Topspin. Human air forces arrive and pound Nemesis, who suddenly teleports away to an unknown location. Ratchet manages to repair Blurr, but is unable to save the other fallen Autobots.

Back on Cybertron, Optimus and Sideswipe arrive at the Autobot bastion to find it under attack by Straxus' forces. The huge fortification is nearly breached as Decepticon air forces are far superior to the Autobots. Optimus deploys his jetpack and flies Sideswipe to the centre of the fortress where they find Ultra Magnus, the Autobot leader on Cybertron, and other notable Autobots such as Kup, Hot Rod, Perceptor, Silverstreak, Blaster and Brawn. The Autobots are shocked by Optimus' appearance, believing he was dead. Sideswipe asks about Sunstreaker, but is told by Magnus that he was holding the outer defences when they were overrun. Sideswipe is disappointed, but Optimus assures him that they will find him. Magnus informs Prime of the situation, but is further informed when Silverbolt of the Aerialbots arrives bearing dire news that the Decepticons have broken through and Straxus himself appears to have taken the field. Magnus orders the deployment of Omega Supreme to stem the Decepticon advance, but Silverbolt is convinced that they cannot hold much longer. Prime tells Magnus he will help them however he can, but Magnus is unconvinced they can hold them.

    Second Movie

Optimus, Magnus and the other Autobots join the defence and aid the Autobots as they retreat into the fortress' inner sanctums. Straxus has arrived aboard a massive ship, a smaller copy of the Nemesis, and Cyclonus has taken command of his air forces. Suddenly Straxus broadcasts a message above the city, 'The Autobots must surrender, or they will be obliterated by his superweapon'. Magnus is unconvinced and replies back that Straxus will die trying. Optimus yearns to join the Autobots in the defence, but Magnus urges Prime that he should keep himself hidden until their greatest need, as he is their biggest hope. Omega Supreme stems the Decepticon advance, but the Constructicons combine to form Bruticus and the two giants begin to battle it out. The Decepticons flood the fortress, and Magnus joins the battle himself, along with Sideswipe and the others. Magnus begins to turn the tide until Cyclonus arrives and the two begin to fight amidst the carnage. Neither are able to get the upper hand, until Straxus and his best soldiers arrive and Magnus is beaten to the ground.

The entirety of NEST attend Mirage's, Leadfoot and Roadbuster's funerals. Ratchet is sad that he could not save them, but is at least satisfied that he was able to save Blurr. Lennox tells Ratchet that next should they discover something, a company of his best soldiers with the most latest weaponry will be sent with them. Ratchet admits it is a good idea, but also tells Lennox that this, "Nemesis Prime" is unlike anything he has ever seen and simply shrugged off the Autobot's attacks. Lennox tries to use Skywarp's death to bolster Ratchet's confidence, but Ratchet thinks the damage may have already been done and that they are too few to hold off another attack from Nemesis Prime. Ratchet is also worried about what has become of Optimus and Sideswipe, and begins to reflect on Skywarp's words. Could Optimus and Nemesis be the same person? Could Sideswipe be the other half of Skywarp's experiment?

The Autobot resistance begins to fail, as Kup is killed trying to defend Blaster, the Autobot Communications Officer. His last transmission is that the Autobots should try to escape. Blaster is then overwhelmed. The Decepticons begin to bring prisoners into the fortress as the last resistance dies down. Sideswipe spots Sunstreaker amongst them and tries to rescue him, but is captured as well. Magnus is brought before Straxus who deems him guilty of rebellious behaviour and treason against his lord, which is punishable by death. Magnus spits in his face and demands trial by combat, but Straxus laughs and picks a badly wounded Autobot as Magnus' champion. Despite Magnus' pleas, Straxus brutally kills the wounded Autobot and mockingly tells Magnus that his champion has been defeated and that he is guilty. Meanwhile, a young Autobot known as Hot Rod manages to break free of his bonds and quietly escapes, running into Optimus Prime who is hiding in the inner sanctum. Hot Rod informs Prime of the situation outside, and Prime rushes out to rescue the Autobots. He tells Hot Rod to create a distraction as he jetpacks into the air and attempts to find a way to rescue the Autobots. Hot Rod runs out into the main courtyard and begins hurling insults at Straxus, who is momentarily distracted, and orders several nearby Decepticons to deal with the "nuisance". Meanwhile, Optimus' plans are interrupted as Cyclonus crashes into him, dragging both of them down into the courtyard below. The large explosion as both of them crash, knocks Straxus to the ground, allowing Hot Rod to avoid the Decepticons and cut Magnus free of his bonds. Magnus gets to his feet and punches Straxus to the ground as he attempts to get up. Optimus is impressed by Cyclonus' ferocity, but comments that Cyclonus' is too reckless as he jams Cyclonus' boosters and throws him into the ground. Straxus' lieutenant attempts to get up but Optimus stabs him through the shoulder and hurls him against the wall, then Prime charges him and smashes him in the face with his fist, causing one of Cyclonus' optics to pop out. Meanwhile, Magnus continues his dominance over Straxus as a new battle rages around the, the escaped Autobots versus the battle-wearied Decepticons. Finally Straxus manages to kick Magnus away and orders the deployment of his superweapon: Galvatron. The emotionless warrior, made from the ruins of Megatron's body recovered from the Arctic, attacks Optimus as he is about to deal the final blow to Cyclonus. Along with Galvatron arrives Scourge, Dirge and Thundercracker, who all attack Optimus at once. Optimus, already battle-wearied, and under attack from four powerful Decepticons, is on the verge of defeat, as are the other Autobots as the superior amount of Decepticons begin to overwhelm them.

Back on Earth, Ratchet begins to hear frequent reports of Nemesis Prime attacking remote locations, wiping out entire villages, towns and remote military bases. He calls Prowl to him, and the former Autobot Security Officer advises he should activate the Space Bridge and bring Optimus back to face him. Ratchet is uncertain at first, as he believes Optimus may be doing something important, but after hearing reports that a city in Russia was destroyed, and receiving world-wide abuse, his finally submits and activates the Space Bridge.

At the exact same time, Galvatron hurls Optimus to the ground for the finishing blow. The Autobot Leader is seemingly defenceless as Galvatron approaches, but the new Decepticon warrior is surprised to find his blade blocked by Optimus' as he deals the final blow. Optimus studies his opponent for a brief second, seeing much of Megatron's body except any sign of life is gone from his old foe and replaced with this new hatred which even Megatron was not capable of. Suddenly Optimus deploys the Ion Cannon on his back for a point-blank shot at Galvatron's head, but is stopped as Dirge tackles him to the ground. Then out of nowhere, a Space Bridge opens right next to Optimus. The Autobot leader rolls himself and Dirge into the the Bridge. Galvatron is about to follow when he is knocked to the ground by a massive explosion. At that exact moment, Omega Supreme returns, having dealt with Bruticus, and begins showering the Decepticons with rockets and other explosives. Sideswipe notices the Space Bridge, and realising the situation is hopeless, tells Magnus to get his men into the Space Bridge. The Autobots retreat into the Space Bridge, much to the surprise of NEST who await on the other side. However, out of the hundreds of Autobots who remained before the attack on the fortress, only a handful remain and Ultra Magnus is last through the Bridge, dragging a wounded Perceptor with him...

The Autobots quickly lock down Dirge, who is among the most cowardly of Galvatron's bodyguards. Topspin and Sideswipe interrogate him whilst Ratchet attempts to extract information from his spark. Dirge crumbles under pressure, claiming Straxus' has no other goal other than to destroy the Autobots and turn Cybertron into the galactic empire Megatron wished it to be. He also admits that Megatron and Shockwave's bodies were stolen from the Arctic. Skywarp used Megatron's body as a vessel for a twisted version of Shockwave's spark, totally devoid of emotion and living only to follow out his master's orders. Thus the creation of Galvatron. When Ratchet asks about Nemesis Prime, Optimus and the other Autobots are startled, having not heard of him before. Ratchet explains the battle and the loss of Mirage, and two of the Wreckers, but also of Skywarp's death. Optimus is enraged, Dirge goes onto explain that he, Thundercracker and Scourge were once supporters of Starscream, and after his death, Cyclonus who betrayed them and now they serve as Galvatron's bodyguards and attendants, a dishonourable position. Magnus does not trust Dirge, neither does Ratchet, but Optimus is willing to give him a chance but notes that Dirge did save Galvatron's life earlier. Dirge replies that if they had failed Galvatron, Straxus would have their heads.

Optimus begins to take note of Nemesis' actions over the past few days, and fails to find any pattern. Too him, it seems like his copy is simply rampaging through random places in different corners of the globe. After several days of waiting, an alert goes off and the Autobots assemble and hurry to its location. Before they leave, Dirge issues a warning that Nemesis Prime is not devoid like Galvatron, and is unpredictable. The alert takes them to the Arctic, the exact location of NEST's secret base. The Autobots arrive to find the base seemingly deserted. Prowl and Hot Rod locate the chamber where the fallen Decepticons are held, and only find the bodies of a few Decepticons, Megatron and Shockwave not among them. Outside, Optimus is scanning the horizon when Ratchet locates traces of Energon nearby, he and Prime follow the trail to where it ends, seemingly out of nowhere. Prime is about to call the mission off and leave when a Cybertronian his own height materialises out of thin air. Nemesis knocks his counterpart to the ground and grabs Ratchet by the throat, lifting him from the ground. Before Optimus can do anything, Nemesis crushes Ratchet's throat and throws him to the side. Optimus raises his gun when Nemesis teleports behind him, and pins him to the ground telling him he is too late and he has what he came for. He then leaves. Hot Rod and Prowl come to the surface to find Optimus cradling the body of Ratchet. Bumblebee emerges from the human barracks warning that the NEST base is under attack. Optimus does not reply and simply jetpacks into the air, leaving the other Autobots and NEST soldiers stunned.

Back at the base, Decepticon survivors of Chicago have attacked the NEST base in Washington. Magnus blasts down several Protoforms, but can do little as an already wounded Perceptor falls under their manpower. Sideswipe leads a sortie with Autobots, Windcharger and Warpath, but is cut off and driven away from NEST. Inside, the Protoform Decepticons free Dirge and he breaks into the vault and steals the Space Bridge Pillars. As he leaves, he shoots Silverstreak in the back, killing him, he then flies off into the air but is pursued by the Aerialbots, Silverbolt and Skydive. Dirge shoots down Skydive and eludes Silverbolt, escaping. Suddenly, the Decepticons retreat or are killed as Magnus and the survivors push out.

Their success is short lived as a Space Bridge opens up in the distance and explosions begin to unfurl along the horizon. Straxus' Decepticon Army comes through the Space Bridge and begins to plow through Washington. Unlike Megatron's forces, Straxus' forces are in formation and killing with strategy. NEST, US Army and NATO forces in the area engage them in a huge firefight, but the humans are totally outgunned and the casualties mount. Ultra Magnus leads the surviving Autobots (Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Brawn, Windcharger, Warpath, Silverbolt, Topspin, Hound, Cliffjumper and Blurr) in a last ditch defence and the Decepticons are temporarily stemmed. The airforce begin to bombard the Decepticons, but Cyclonus and the other airborne Decepticons take to the skies and begin a massive dog fight. Silverbolt takes to the skies and kills the traitorous Dirge, but is attacked by Cyclonus. The two fight it out until Silverbolt is shot down and crashes into the ground, and is about to be killed when a mortally wounded Skydive takes Cyclonus by surprise. The bigger Decepticon quickly recovers, but Silverbolt manages to stab Cyclonus through the chest just as Cyclonus kills Skydive. The Decepticon airforces are routed.

Straxus realises his plan may not work so he deploys Galvatron and Nemesis Prime who begin to cut through the human forces. Brawn and Warpath manage to hold Galvatron at bay for a short while, before he advances on both and is about to kill them when Ultra Magnus attacks him. However, Galvatron proves too powerful and kicks Magnus aside and is about to kill him as well when a rage driven Optimus Prime arrives. The other Autobots (Bumblebee, Prowl and Hot Rod) are not far behind and the other Autobots sally forth. Straxus realises Prime has taken the field, so he orders Nemesis to help Galvatron deal with him. Optimus beats the crap out of Galvatron and then turns on Nemesis, beating the crap out of him as well. Optimus is about to finish both of them when Straxus comes up behind him and axes him in the back. Optimus falls to the ground, and as he falls he remembers what Dirge said about Galvatron. In one last effort, Optimus pulls the matrix from his chest and lodges it into Galvatron's spark chamber, which lights up. Galvatron's added parts fall off and he looks a lot more like Megatron, and sounds like him too, for Megatron returns and turns on a shocked Straxus. Megatron literally tears Straxus apart, reminding him that he is Lord of Cybertron. Nemesis rushes to the aid of his master but is stopped by Ultra Magnus. The two of them battle it out until Ultra Magnus punches through Nemesis' spark chamber, killing him, and at the exact same time, Megatron rips out Straxus' spark. However, Megatron and Straxus were linked through Skywarp's experiments and upon Straxus' death, Megatron dies as well. The Decepticon forces are routed as the Autobot survivors arrive (Warpath and Cliffjumper have been killed).

Before the end, Optimus and the surviving Autobots are shown at Ratchet and the other fallen Autobot's funeral. Optimus gets word that the last Decepticons have fled, and that Autobot Rebels have retaken Cybertron. At last, the Decepticon threat is over.

I could live with the Bayverse if they just had stronger Decepticons.

I'd stick close to the Bayverse, with better film and story editing. I'd also take out the Fallen and have Shockwave be the main villain for the 2nd movie, with Megatron's resurrection at the beginning of the 1st movie, or as a post-credits scene at the end of the 2nd. That way Shockwave gets the attention he deserved, and Megs doesn't look like another robot's bitch. Save the Fallen for a fourth or 5th movie, leading up to Unicron, who would be huge but not as huge as he normally is (roughly moon-sized).
