Looking at Transwarped, or more specifically, Rodimus Prime in it, I had this thought.

Derrick Wyatt is really fantastic at making characters meant for movement. I was iffy about Roddy's design when I first saw it, but now that i've seen it in actual action, I think it's magnificent.

One of my favorite parts about his designs (one that I liked so much that I'm incorporating into my own designs) is the way that every robot has a different body-frame depending on their personality, you can truly see a robot's personality from the looks alone!

In other series everybody would have the same bulky heroic frame, but in TFA you can clearly see the difference, like Perceptor (skinny with big head) to Blackout (giantic hunchback monster with small head), representing brains and brawn in each case.

Derrick shouldn't get all of the credit!
He works with Eric on most of the designs(to make sure they translate into toys),
and Irineo Maramba designed Hot Shot, Cyclonus, Brawn, and the new Oil Slick.

Bravo to Maramba for the designs of Hot Shot and Cyclonus. I thought those two were cool. I like the other artists' designs too, except for whoever did Prowl. He's an awesome character and all, but I just don't like his design. 'Cept his colors and glasses or whatever.

This. Though no matter who designed who, every design in TFA so far has been fantastic. My personal favourites are Shockwave, Optimus, Starscream and Swoop.

My favorite design is Blitzwing's. The idea of making him a mechanical Wermacht trooper is pure genius.

Don't get me wrong. I think Derrick deserves most of the credit(for the character designs). After all, he was the one to bring in the style. I just think people need to remember that he doesn't single handily create Animated.

    edit:

Sorry for dissin' your props, Derrick.
