While checking the pegs at Wal-Mart tonight, I noticed deluxes marked up to $11.88 from $9.00. Anyone else seen this happening?

And there wasn't even anything worthwhile  

 

This is normal. It happens every year after the holidays.

 

They were 11.88 for a while and got dropped to 9 i think in september or something for the holidays.

 

Here, the HFTD Deluxes had a second markdown before Christmas.

 

Last Night I saw ROTF Skids and Swerve along with The Pegwarner mess of Turner Skids and Elita One.

 

I figured that's what it was. Oh well, $11.88 won't kill me.

 

The 11.88 is still a low price compared to the normal prices at other big box stores.

 

Target still has them for $9, at least in my area.

 

interestingly, walmart in canada just downed their DX prices to $9.98

You have that backwards. They weren't marked up, they went off of the sale price of $9.

$12 was the price figures were at for much of last year, until the Fall when they drop the price for Christmas shoppers.

 

Yes, I saw this too. I would love it though, if they marked down the scouts too...the marked down deluxes make the scouts look mighty expensive at 8.97!

Of course, can't complain about good deluxes!

 

Everything at my Walmart is back to the normal prices-Deluxe $11.88,Voyager $19.97,PCC $19.97.It was nice while it lasted.

 

At least it STAYED at $11.88. I was a bit fearful they might go up this year.

I rather enjoyed the $9.00 price point while it lasted. Got quite a few figures in that time frame (and a Voyager Highbrow while Walmart had them at $16.00). Nice last-quarter haul, but yeah--back to normal.

 

This is why I buy mine at Target. Around here, at least, Target is constant 9$ on deluxes.

 

The main reason I've bought deluxes at Target is that they're past wave 1 of Generations.

deluxes should be $15, the fact they aren't here in america is amazing

Wait till Target goes back to regular price. They're usually the last to go back to normal. Regular price to Target is $10.49-10.99, which is still cheap. But of course people will still bitch and cry.

 

Sadly, it seems that Kohl's is the only store that keeps totally current.

 

why should they be $15? I've been buying them for $9 for as long as I can remember.

As for the second part of your post, it just dumbfounds me beyond belief.

 

But Kohl's has those funky sales all the time and those coupons for $10 worth of free stuff is makes them pretty competitive.
