I bought a robot replica jazz the other day to cannibalize so that the deluxe jazz would look better (hands, head, etc.). I put him next to Bumblebee and Ironhide and realized he's mostly to scale with the rest of the transforming autobots. So now I'm having a dilema. Cut up RR Jazz to redo deluxe Jazz or just repaint RR Jazz and display him intead?

no amount of parts swapping will make deluxe Jazz less fat and dwarfy. And since Jazz was skinny and athletic in the movie, you'd want him to look...

You're asking a bunch of basher whether to bash or not. XD

By the sounds of it, you don't seem to want to go through the trouble of reworking Deluxe Jazz to regain his Movie athleticism. I'd say to just repaint RR Jazz until you can work out a way to thin Deluxe Jazz's chest.

On a side note, what kind of joints do those RR's use, anyhow? o.o

Deluxe Jazz is awesome by himself. And RR Jazz, while not as cool or good looking imo, IS more accurate in certain places. I'd just get the best of both worlds.

The real question is, will the addition of the RR parts affect deluxe Jazz negatively? Like, if it impedes his transformation to have those hands and head added to him, then this is a senseless bash. You already have a good, non-transforming Jazz; why ruin it just to have an uglier one?

My philosophy is that a Transformers who doesn't transform isn't really a Transformer at all.

Chop up that mere action figure for the good stuff, and make your transforming Jazz better! :)

I'd personally love to see if RR Jazz's head fits deluxe Jazz. I just use RH Jazz for the hands and head right now but the hands have to be removed for transformation ala G1 Prime style and the head is a bit too small.

How easy is it to remove RR Jazz's head and does it fit deluxe Jazz well. Pics always help

I wouldn't, RR Jazz looks much cooler, instead I would try on repainting deluxe jazz in black adding some details. Just think that if you want to slice a RR to make a movie accurate figure, the RRs are already the perfect molds!

I think I'm going to play it safe and paint the RR one. If he sucks after that then I won't mind making him fodder.

Good move. Why ruin two figures when you already have what you want? :D
