I just got him and i'm really disappointed. Very cheap feeling, loose ball joints on the arms, spotty paint apps. When you can pick up a drift or thrust in the day at the store, more new transformer fans are going to start realizing how crappy the movie toys really are.
Really? I think he's amazing. Fantastic deluxe and best Movie Ironhide toy outside of Recon Ironhide. Mine, however, doesn't have the floppy joints or bad paint job that yours does, so it sounds like you just got a bad one.
I love the movie toys. They've produced some of my favorite figures ever. Bludgeon, Mindwipe, Ejector, etc.
I really like the HFTD ironhide but the one i got,the hood sections dont tab in very good.They do stay, but it doesnt take much for them to come loose.The paint on it is good an the joints are pretty tight so far.
I think they can feel a little cheaper than some other lines, but I think it's because the transformations are more in depth and detailed that they have small parts/panels. Thrust feels solid, but it only takes like four moves to transform him.
I do love some of the movie toys, but mainly guys like mindwipe and bludgeon (and seaspray) that feel more solid.
Sounds sorta like another Micheal Bay child rape story.... Bummer about Ironhide, how about exchanging him for GEEWUN?
lol I was just about to say how stupid it is to call the movie line crappy because baby boy got a bad toy.
If it was the first bad toy I got from the movie line, then the toy would be crappy, but when its just the latest bad movie line toy in a series of them, then the line is crappy, maybe that is easier for you to understand?
I think you just have bad luck. I've only gotten one figure with some QC issues. Took it back to the store, exchanged, and got one that was perfect.
It's called an opinion. Maybe you're just a bad judge of quality. There are many people who love the movie line. I am sure 1 person who has no clout whatsoever is enough to judge the whole line. Right.
Yeah, the opinion in question is that we are all going to awaken to some kind of universal truth, which is coincidentally your opinion. That's a dumb opinion.
yeah i was disappointed with the deluxe ironhide too, the chest plate doesn't have any solid connection with the hood but mainly i dont like how the arms have weird proportions (no biceps) and i wish the 'drone' weapon would look more like a weapon than a extra large binocular on twiggy tripods.
Just get a new one for the loose joints if you can, as for the bad paint apps....that's what paints are for. No point whining about what you get.
I've had no issues with mine. He's a double edged sword though - I love the design, but hate how small he is.
Eh, I'm just fine with the 07 Movie Voyager Ironhide I have, so I don't bother with all the repaints and retools of him.
Sounds like you got a dud. I've had a chance to look at the new Deluxe Ironhide, one I saw was fine. Very nice actually, I prefer its look to the Voyager.
QC issues strikes in this case. Mine is pretty much perfect, and the only gripes I have is that he's all black and dull and boring to look at in alt mode. I have been much more disappointed with Drift more than anything as of late...
I love the deluxe ironhide. He's easily my favorite movie deluxe, ranking even above battle blade bumblebee.
