Where is the option to upload pics?? have I lost my mind here?

This one was very much inspired by Toby's version. When I saw his, I instantly thought it was one of the best deluxe repaints ever.
Comparing his to paused movie screens in bot and alt mode, there were very few details I thought could be changed for closer screen accuracy.
Although I don't use an airbrush, I wanted to see if my old spray and brush paints could get close to what he did. The answer of course, was NO, but I did my best and this is what I came out with.

Crazy how tough it is to paint this figure. Black is the darkest color and yellow is so light that any tiny mistakes come out being painfully obvious. Plus high detail on a deluxe movie figure is rarely an easy task. Took more time and work than expected...

I hope you guys like it!

Nicely done! Love the details in the face and the metal work.

    Thanks!

Yeah my wife keeps reminding me that this time of year is always like this, but man.... bad timing for a down. Or maybe bad timing to have a baby.

Why dont u just paint the Camaro SS symbol, autobot symbol, and the tip of his foot silver? That way it would look more movie-accurate,right? I mean, check it out in the screenshots of whatever the poster it is! Just some advice. BTW, and other than that, amazing!

Because the actual car has one SS symbol on one side rather than 2 and it is black with silver lining. Not something i can do at this scale so i went with the main color. The autobot symbols are so much smaller than that, I have to use stickers, and I am out of black ones anyway.
The tip of his feet are not silver unless you are looking at cgi render posters for the first movie. I used paused screens for reference.

Like I said, I used actual paused screens of the bluray to paint this.
Allow me to enjoy proving you wrong.

Black toes. Same black with the same texture as the black on his alt mode hood.

Yeah you're right about the toe thing although you can also get away with a very dark grey.

I'll probably modify mine with a metallic black color with maybe a bit of silver added but we'll see how it goes. When you compare the CGI model to the deluxe figure I'm continually surprised with the amount of detail that's actually hidden in the mold that's just waiting to be brought out by the paint.
