... honestly... meh.

And I LOVE Cyberverse Crowbar and Hatchet. But I really don't think that the DotM line needs Crowbar, who on the shelf will look either exactly like Crankcase, or very similar to Barricade (black police car... that already looks nigh-identical to the Barricades of yore).

Hatchet... I love, but I don't see how it would really be improved much, you know? Screen accurate alt-mode, maybe, but then we have the "identical to Crankcase" problem. And really, I'm not super big on Deluxe-class figures with an unconventional robot mode. RotF Rampage and Ravage were disappointments (I genuinely like Legends Ravage way more) and Laserbeak is... niche.

I'm content with the Cyberverse Dreads myself.

Kinda burned out with DotM. Far too many automobiles, 6 months after the movie and we still don't have the main cast, old faces returning despite not playing a large part or even appearing in the movie, MechTech's effect on the molds, and Prime's all shiny and new. Can't really get excited about 3 identical SUVs with near-identical bot modes (one of which had its fingers sloppily chopped).

Now if it was that Cloverfield Con (see sig) or Igor or someone else like that, I'd be interested. But at the pace the DotM toys are going, I doubt we'll ever see them.

That's a bold statement.

Short of the Hasbro-initiated fan favorite type stuff, I'm unaware of any sort of petition that has successfully resulted in Hasbro making anything.

I don't think a few emails or some sort of internet petition is going to have much effect.

 

Maybe if we collect enough signatures, online petitions will work one day.

I'm content with the cyberverse versions. Yes it'll be cool to have deluxes of them but i doubt Hasbro will commit to them. Each new mold is as expensive as a sports car and be released in stores half a year later.

I think there's no new dotm toys being developed now as Hasbro have Prime toys to take care of.

 

The problem is that it's easy to sign a petition.

Unless you preorder the toy and pay in advance, however, there is no guarantee for Hasbro that even a single person signing that petition is actually willing to pay for these toys.

 

We really need them. I'd be okay with them simply remolding Crankcase for Crowbar, and I suppose if they really don't want to make a new mold for Hatchet, they could do a remold for him too. Both would need different weapons, torsos, and heads, and even if Hatchet lost his four-leggedness, he should still have an animal-like head.

 

I don't want Deluxes. I want Voyagers of them. I started building them myself, since we're probably not going to get them.

But I would love a Deluxe Crowbar and Hatchet. Crankcase is awesome, but those designs are even awesomer.

 

It might be possible that Hasbro has already got Crowbar and Hatchet in the works. They've shown with Skids and Mudflap that they can make two completely different toys out of the same vehicle mode, so three shouldn't be too much of a problem. As long as they can keep profiting from pushing movie toys, these two may see Deluxe class treatment yet.

 

Why is that? They all come from the same vehicle? I thought that they were all proportionate in the film? I guess I'm just sore that the Deluxe Crankcase is SO SO tiny.

 

Crowbar and Crankcase were about teh same, but Hatchet was noticably larger. Though I don't think a Voyager is needed.
