"You mean to tell me that you built a flash drive out off a DeLorean?"

Why yes, yes I did.

I saw a tuturial on another sight a ways back on how to turn a Hotwheels car into a flash/thumb/jump/whathaveyou drive. I've been itching to do this since I heard they were releasing a Back to The Future DeLorean and now that I had the time, I did it.

It looks real simple to do and it kind of is, but it did take around 2 hours or so. The amount of time and work you put into it really depends on what size of flash drive you want to use. The one I chose was a bit large for the Car's body so I needed to use a dremel tool and grind a lot of it down to fit. Once that's out of the way, you just cut a notch in the back, assemble, and glue it back together. Lucky for me, it still works!

    Thanks for the comments everyone!

It does, but the light ends up sitting right underneath the back, where the engine would be. However, because I thinned the grey plastic there to squeeze in the flash drive, you can see the orange light shine through. It does provide a neat effect.

Also, there is no Mr. Fusion because this represents the DeLorean at the beginning of the trilogy. That addition wasn't added until the end of part I.

Hey, if you're going to do it, why not do it with some style? :D  (Hey, no one else had said it yet)

That's a great little mod there. Thanks for sharing!

I can't remember which site it was but I did find this one for you: Hotwheels Flash Drive

It seems to be pretty similar to what I did.
