From Roger Ebert's review of Hellboy 2

" Del Toro, who preceded "Hellboy II" with "Pan's Labyrinth" (2006) and the underrated "Blade II" (2002), is warming up now for "Doctor Strange" and "The Hobbit." He has an endlessly inventive imagination, and understands how legends work, why they entertain us and that they sometimes stand for something."

We knew abot the Hobbit and he himself said he is willing to do Hellboy 3.

Now, he wants to do Dr. Strange. That's :bay

It won't happen for awhile. He has to do the hobbit first and really there are 9 or 10 movies he wants to do.

This. The man has attached himself to so many films after the Hobbit I've lost count.

Del Toro for Dr. Strange would be excellent. I'd pick him to helm an adaptation of Neil Gaiman's Sandman, too.

And At the Mountains of Madness. He's the only director alive I'd trust to do any sort of Lovecraft right, and At the Mountains of Madness is one of the few Lovecraft stories that I think would translate well to film.

No joke. There was an interview with him a while back on AICN where he actually made fun of himself a bit for this. He just wants to do an awful lot of things, and I hope he gets to as many as he can, because every movie of his I've seen has been good.

Haha....Dr. O is funny as hell, not sure I'd want an entire movie, but he deserves a two part episode at the very least.
