Actually, I'm not sure what character this actually is but it's more Vader than Luke so... I personally thought that the scene from Empire that forshadowed Luke's lineage was one of the most memorable scenes ever and I always wondered why (as far as I know) a figure was never made for it. When I saw the Vader with his removable head gear at my local Wal-Mart I thought that it would be perfect for this custom. I had my Empire DVD paused on the decapitated Luke/Vader head on my TV and tried to make the cuts as accurate to the movie as possible. I used a Luke head and ball joint from the neck so that the head could be easily removed. The only thing used was an Exacto knife, Testor's Model Masters flat black paint, Testor's flat clear acrylic, and Super Glue. This actually will be my first comission as well! I brought the figure to work to show a guy who is probably the biggest Star Wars fan I've ever met and he asked me to make a version for his collection. As always comments and critique are welcome. Thanks for looking!
Thanks guys! I definitely appreciate the comments! It was so easy to do that I truly am surprised this hasn't been released by Hasbro. Thanks again!
what made you come up with that idea? its really awesome though, keep up the good work. maybe you should do a dagobah yoda...lol..
^Thanks! I pulled the idea straight from the movie. I've always felt that the scene when Luke faces "Vader" on Dagobah and sees his own face under the mask of Vader's decapitated head is some of the best foreshadowing ever and it deserves to be recognized somehow. I've always wanted a figure to reflect that moment and was really glad that I was able to pull it off myself! Thanks for the kind words everyone!
