Been awhile since my first customs threat...(classics devastator)...so here are my latest kitbashes...definitely nothing as major as my devi and I know these have been done over and over again...but I loved both these little guys in the 80's cartoon and wanted them to be a part of my classics line-up...and with the announcement of the line continuing in 2008...everything just kind of pushed for me to build them...one thing I tried to do differently with these two was the addition of the hood...to me Huffer just isn't Huffer without it...
Wow, those caps really make a world of difference. Looks much more like the original. Did you make those shovels by yourself, or did you grab them off another toy? Again, nice! ~X

Excellent work, lovely paint apps. The hoods look great in robot mode but really hurt the vehicle modes.

I dig the Huffer, but I don't know how I feel about the white limbs on him. Pipes' body might be a tad to similar to Cybertron Armorhide too, but the cowls on both are awesome!! Are the cowls fully transformable and move into place, or do you have to remove and re-attach?

Thanks for the comments guys... Their hoods are actually the toe/front of foot from Cybertron Metroplex... I left the limbs white on both because I didn't know how durable the paint apps would be once I painted around the ball joints...didn't want it to rub off in the future... And finally the cowls...(I assume you mean the hoods)...they are fully transformable...they are hinged on the blue bar...(which you can see best in the truck mode pictures)...no removing needed...you simply raise them to fit snug into place...

You could try dying them...maybe that would work? The limbs are white...and if I remember correctly, they are the type of plastic that takes to dye well...

Dude.... those look fantastic. The shovel/hood thing is a brilliant idea, and really nails them as the characters. I like Pipes' little dual blasters, too. And it's neat how you altered Huffer's old gun into a new, shorter, stockier version. It's like the little guy has a sawed-off shotgun! Anyway, great stuff!
