    I am thinking about getting one of these systems but am unsure what to get. With the recent PS 3 incident, It is a big turn off though despite that the gameplay looks good. I was going to get that when I had money but then XBox caught my attention and now I am unsure. I am veeerrry new and confused about the whole GB thing but I am going to play lots of games when I do have money and I dont know about the other features these two have if i'll use them but Im leaning towards Xbox. Any help?

    I doubt the breach of PSN will ever happen again. IMO, X-Box has two major exclusives in Halo and Gears of War, while Playstation had a multitude of quality, exclusive titles coming out later this year. Playstation has a Blu-Ray player, XB does not. Online is free for PSN, XB is a paid service. See above for security. Overall, I just think the PS3 is better, because for a higher cost, you get a lot more.

    What games do you play?

    I was looking to play the Need for speed games and WFC and some other games. Pretty much new to the world of games because I am able to buy my own things because of getting a job. I used to wait for Christmas to show up or my birthday to get games so yeah....I own the Wii,ps2,gamecube and SNES. xDDDDDD;;;;;

    I prefer the PS3 exclusive titles to Xbox's, so I'd suggest buying a PS3.

    I'd get a Ps3 it free to play online, people seem nicer online then Xbox live. Blue ray player/dvd player, and Internet web search. P.s. Ps3 has better Exclusive titles as well.

    I was in your position recently, i went with the Xbox 360 none of the PS3 exclusives or extra features appealed to me. If you want the blu ray player then go with the PS3.

    Its $60 a year for XBL Gold. Which if you break it down to monthly is $5 a month. Not too bad but i've had my 360 for a few months and due to various offers and such haven't payed for XBL yet. From what i've seen XBL is better than PSN. BUt do what i did and see if any friends are willing to let you play on their systems for a few hours here and there.

    I gotta go with 360. Unless you need a BR player, I just feel the 360 is a better gaming unit. Yeah, you have to pay for online gaming, but I've had much better online stability with my 360 than my friends PS3 (he comes over with it from time to time and we'd get tons of lag and issues with his PS3 than the exact same games with my 360).

    I'd also recommend seeing with controller you feel is more comfortable for you. Personally, I have giant meat hands and the PS3 controllers feel tiny and fragile to me. The 360 controllers just feel right in my hands. you're gonna be holding one of these for a while, so comfort is key.

    Lastly, there's the community factor. What systems do your friends use? Do they play games that you'll want to play with them?

    I think those are things you want to focus on instead of what games each system has (well, ok it's a factor, but shouldn't be the ONLY thing you look into). Most games are multiplatform anyway, so more than likely you'd be playing the same games on either system (aside for the obvious exclusives of course).

    Well I really dont want to pay 60 dollars just to play online against people. Xbox seems really like a safe options for online play but eventually someone will get into it sadly. So I have to say PS3 is the option I am choosing, Still going to consult my big bro on this. He has both.

    PS3. And you can play Blu-rays, DVDs, music and view pics on it.

    Oh, and online play is free.

    If you need a BluRay player, then a PS3.

    If you don't, then the 360 is the way to go.

    Do 360 controllers still need batteries or are they rechargeable like the PS3's?

    (I know you can buy rechargeable batteries but that is another cost to factor into your decision.)

    This, and if you like rpg's you can only play Mass Effect 1 on the 360 or a pc.
