Get Maximus. For God's sake, Shattered Glass sucks. It's just a lameass evil universe twist on the story that makes all the characters that were cool before completely reversed and worthless. Maximus isn't in whacked out colors with an evil beard. Get the classics.

Maximus kicked all kinds of ass. I wish I still had him and didn't have to sell him a few years back for the cash. But I needed a new pair of glasses so there ya go... <=[

 

Throw my vote in for the Shattered Glass...good set with nice figs and you get a good mix of Autobots and Decepticons.

That's why I mentioned having the mold (Fort or Grand). All the ones from SG have been out at retail in the past few years and easy to get. Even now, you can get those molds on ebay pretty cheap. Brave was out about 5 years ago & even then wasn't sold in the US and expensive to import.

 

brave max for me. imo, the brave/fort max mold is one of the must-haves for every tf collector, as it is the biggest tf to date. plus, brave max is cheaper than the whole set of shattered glass right now.

 

Shattered Glass is jawsome, but you HAVE to get the comic. It makes it better.

 

Brave Max no doubt. The shattered glass is my first Botcon set, and I Love them, but the FM mold is classic. However, a lot of us are hopeful for an Encore Fort Max  

 

Already have it, it's awesome, wot wot.

 

Brave Max! And he should be a couple hundred $ cheaper too.

The Shattered Glass set are just over priced repaints of $10 -$20 toys. They're nice looking but really a complete rip-off because the molds just aren't worth that much. You'll actually be blowing hundreds on the name "BOTCON", not the actually worth of the figures.

But Brave Max is a reissue of the biggest & one of the most sought after Transformers of all time. It's really cool to be able to say you have either Fort Max or Brave Max MIB. IMO there's more pride in owning Fort Max or Brave Max than Botcon repaints. But that's probably just me. I have Botcon Exclusives & Brave Max MIB, I'll brag about Brave Max before the Botcon stuff.

 

Maximus. Unless you want to save the Botcon crap to sell in the future. But Maximus without question. Get Brave Maximus!

 

since you mentioned you plan on getting both at some point in time, i'd say get the shattered glass set, because the price is probably going to go up for a while. Brave Max's price should be relatively stable by now, unless you wait until TF2.

 

Brave Max. The Shattered Glass set is the worst of the botcon sets imo.

 

Botcon sets are overrated. I sold all of mine at the last Botcon. Get the Brave Max. Better yet, since you were looking to unload $800 ( What the complete Shattered Glass set goes for ), Get a G1 Fort Max. You can get a good one with almost all the parts for that.
