still gotta add some details and start painting :)
Here was constructed from a deluxe-sized knock-off, of the mini-con Runway or Jetstorm (can never get those two straight).
Trench transforms into a Russian/Soviet ekranoplan similar to the Lun-class (the attached thumbnail pic)
    Enjoy:

    Dude that looks great!
I got a bit of a thing for the Erkanoplan, even once bought a kit to make a movie Broadside & i have to say you made a great job squeezing all that detail in there.

    Thanks mate!

Aye i love ekranoplans, and i am glad I'm not the only one who thought of using an Ekranoplan for Broadside, I mean seriously, it would be perfect for him. But alas, I opt Decepticons by default, so he's Trench, Broadside's nemesis ;)
    Thanks mate.

I saw your WIP shots and thought "Uh, that doesn't look like a real plane"... then saw the real plane.

Thoughts now? This is freakin' awesome! What a novel idea using a weird ass plane as the alt mode; very original. You can probably take the claim of being the first to do this.

Can't wait to see it painted. Good stuff.

    Thanks everyone!
Glad I can oblige...Ekranoplans are really one of the coolest ideas ever concieved, and it is a shame that they didn't become more prevalent.

Yeap, very much so. Go do a Search on ekranoplan, or specifically "Caspian Sea monster" or Lun-Class ekranoplan.

Thanks mate. I really like doing very obscure and experimental concepts into tfers... and military aircraft of all types and shapes are a hobby of mine :)

    hmmmm... Lugnut you say...

I love the new head design. It makes him look kind of like shockwave.

    Aye, a no negotiating look.
its my best lit spot in the house :)
    thanks mate
I don't think it would work in WW1, as the aircraft was it was based on was made during the Cold War.
