Ok I think its Official, No more Decepticon Leaders and Hasbro reps have already confirmed that they are not going this direction with Decepticon Leaders because they dont sell well at all! Kids dont like Evil characters and they are not popular. Kids need more Optimus' and BBs or more autobots. So we can finally put this subject to rest.

THERE ARE NO MORE DECEPTICON LEADERS...only Voyagers are good enough for kids!
So goodbye to Leader versions of Megatron, Shockwave, Sideways, Demolisher, Bonecrusher, Barricade, Fallen, Long Haul, and finally BLACKOUT!!!

Hasbro knows children LOVE BB, Optimus, Ironhide, and The Twins, thats it. end of story. Titanic sank. Finito. Done

    Future Leaders are(if any)as follows:

    Optimus
    Ratchet
    Skids
    Bumblebee again
    Mudflap
    Jazz
    Bumblebee once more(new mold)
    Sidewipe
    Bumblebee(last one i swear)
    Red Ferarri
    Sam Whitwicky
    Michael Bay

Darn those kids for liking the characters that are meant to be likable!
Also, we've gotten word from some people at Toy Fair that they will be making a lot more Leaders than expected this time around. I can't say it with certainty, but that indicates that we may well be getting some Decepticons.

Here's hoping ultra class returns for some bigger decepticons like Megatron, that way Optimus isn't always menacing the glorious Megatron.

I'm fairly sure they sell based on the appeal of the character. I have never seen a kid go into a store, see a Transformer, and say that its design aesthetics throw off their purchase. It's a lot more like, "LOOKTRANSFORMERSLOOKBUMBLEBEEMOMTHEYGOTBUMBLEBEE".

IMHO, it's the parents who don't want their kids to have the bad guys more so than the kids not wanting to collect the bad guys, leader or no leader size. That's a lot of money for most parents to shell out and IF they don't want to buy "bad guys" but "good guys" instead, what other choice does Hasbro have?? I would agree that the design of the movie Leader Megs is horrible..no colors to speak of and just looks fugly...I didn't buy him for myself, much less for my nephew, he was an easy pass..but I did buy 2 Optimus Prime Leaders--natch! :thumb

I've been a Decepticon fan since I was like 4. Now, it's because I prefer the designs, but when I was kid it was because my favorite color was purple (Still is, actually!). Some of my favorite figures as a kid included G2 Ramjet and G2 Vortex. I made my purchasing decisions as a child based on which color schemes I liked the most, so I usually had Decepticons.

Is that really official? Where did you get that info?

Yeah, I know people will probably say that's a normal move and I should not car for some sort of scale but damn, all the new directions Hasbro is taking lately, smaller figures with gigantic guns, simplifying designs and transformations, Generations being Deluxe only, stopping WFC line after 5 figures, and now that, are really starting to get on my nerve. I guess the time I stop being this much into TF may comes sooner than what I though.

Megatron finally has an earth mode that is begging for a leader class release. I'll be extremely disappointed if Hasbro doesn't make one at some point. I don't care about the other Decepticons getting a leader class figure, just give me a Megatron.

    Did you mean Soundwave?

I remember a lot of stuff coming out of Toy Fair, but I don't remember Hasbro signing the death certificate on Decepticon Leader Class toys...though maybe I missed this bit of info.

Yeah this is true. Hasbro doesn't have to sell kids too hard on nasty robots with guns, but they do have to reach mom & dad to spend real money on leader class toys. Parents opinions must be a focal point for Hasbro's marketing team.
