Thanks to Cybergundam Blog and Toy-World.com.hk.
I saw these earlier today at Toyworld.com.hk.
I like the looks of the United WFC Megatron. I'm glad his legs are the same color as his torso.
awesome! thanks for posting - matrix storage ftw!
Is it the lighting, or are Hailstorm's colors a little different?
Hailstorms colors are awesome!
and they r showing hot rod to rodimus transformation in vehicle mode, pretty cool
Ya, I'm loving that MP Rodimus. I think they've done a fantastic job overall with the design, engineering and details/accessories. I'm really looking forward to that figure.
I find it interesting how all the toys except for the Masterpiece ones retain their Hasbro names (well, Tracks is "Autobot Tracks" rather than "Turbo Tracks", but not "Cybertron Tracks"). They also go out of their way identifying Drift as originating in IDW's comics, Cliffjumper being based on the DS version of WFC and stuff.
And "Cybertron mode" uses the traditional kana spelling for "Cybertron" as in "Japanese name for Autobot", not the one for "Cybertron" as in "planet" (aka "Seibertron").
Huh. So that's how they do Rodimus' Space Caravan mode... The front of the vehicle is a shell attached to the trailer that snaps on top of Hot Rod.
Pretty brilliant engineering.
They're very different.
So where does Rodimus face come from if Hot Rod's folds inside his head?
Okay, now I've actually looked at the pictures
Looks like one folds back and the other one folds down in front. Probably double joints. Very clever, I was expecting a Masterpiece Starscream mechanism.
Hailstorm looks great. Has anyone got close ups of Re-issue Megatron?
Why is the matrix diffrent colors in the pictures?
Is one of them MP-01 Matrix?
Ditto! The more of it I see, the more I want it! I can't wait till next year! I really don't know how hastak will ever be able to top this in future in terms of design, engineering and details/accessories. Particularly in the accessories aspect!
Hot Rod-imus looks amazing.
I dont know if they top it, but I hope they can match it with an MP Galvatron. Although, I cant think of too many accessories that Galvatron could come with. I just hope his cannon mode looks more like it did in the '86 movie as opposed to his G1 toy.
Now that we know the MP Rodimus alternate mode front portion is a shell. The question I have is, when the trailer open up, where does this shell or front portion goes to? Is it detachable or tuck underneath his trailer (assuming there is room inside)? Also, what is that black piece above the spinning blade?
When pics were released from the asian comic-con, there were some fairly educated guesses by some rather observant members that suggest that the front portion flips down and is stored underneath the trailer when not in use. There does appear to be plenty of room under there, specially considering Hot Rod has to fit in there for Rodimus's winnebago mode to form.
The black piece is another attachment for Hot Rod's arm (same place the blade attachs to) and is a welder/repair tool.
edit: actually you can see HR using it in the pic beside the picture you mentioned.
It's the tool he used to fix Kup in Transformers the Movie.
