Did a search and didn't find a thread with this on the title.

Is anyone playing this? I after reading out "Games that just sat on the shelf thread," I decided to play this game, since I spent money on it. Holy Shit. It's like Zelda, Monkey Island and Diablo. Clever writing and puzzle-solving, dungeon-hunting, and exploration, and funny dialogue trees.

Bought it the day it was released. It was a really fun game, with lots of hilarious dialogue. It's surprisingly long for a XBL/PSN game, and I'm looking forwards to the sequel coming this month or next.

Yeah man. I thought the map I was on was the whole world, and then I saw the "world Map" button. It's one of very few instances where a 15 dollar digital title has been worth it.

Yeah I got it and I've been playing around a bit between sessions on Fallout 3 and other stuff. Fun game. Hilarious dialogue.

I love the "Hello Citizen, I AM DEATHSPANK!!"

"Yeah, I know, we heard you when you announced it to the person in the next town."

    Yeah, that is genius.

    "I AM DEATHSPANK"

"Yeah, we know, the whole valley heard you."

And the interactions with the cow are pretty neat.

I also LOVE that there seems to be multiple ways to succeed in quests. Like the Anvil with the Red Cherry guy.

    It looks good.
But I'm reducing my backlog before I get it.

I plan on getting Halo: Reach Around and Dead Rising 2 and that's it.

This game just keeps getting better and better. I'm glad there is a sequel coming.

Pretty much. This sounds like a great game, but... well, check out the "backlog" thread posted a few days ago to see the details.

Plus with the buttloads of TFs coming out lately, I don't really have a lotta extra cash for games.

The demo sucked so I don't think I'll bother playing the full game.

DeathSpank 2 is out today. Gonna give it a try later on, and it already has DLC.

Edit: The DLC apparently will only be free for this week, so grab it now.

I DL the demo and thought it was a pretty funny game but 15 dollars is a bit expensive though for it.

Ok, I know I'm zombie threading, but I wasn't really around the gaming forums here when this first came out and I've just recently gone through all three games again. Fun stuff. I love the second one where they get the brainy idea to give Deathspank modern weapons.

Also, kinda surprised this thread hasn't been updated for the sequels.

Oh yeah. In fact, you spend most of the second one plotting an invasion of the North Pole to kill Santa! And the only way to defeat him is to wear Rudolph's antlers to protect you from Santa's "Sonic mirth" attack.

And the second one also has two different endings.

I admit I only clicked on this due to the weird title, but this actually sounds pretty cool. I'll have to download it.
