So I just watched episode 1-9 of death note.
And I got to say, that after watching 50 episodes of naruto this seems like a munch better anime. No-offense to the narutards.

    1. Stop using emo please, it is old and tired and should be shot with a large gun.

    2. Haven't watched the anime, but the Death Note manga is very good. At least the first half, I lost interest during the second half. The way it is written is very fun in the way that you basically have these two super-smart people trying to outwit each other, and when an author successfully writes super-smart people, it's always a lot of fun to read. It's also very gripping, you always want to know what's coming next consider there's a decently sized twist at least a few times per volume.

    3. Naruto started out very well, the first story arc was was a good shonen team with some fairly sympathetic and well-written characters, but then after that the quality declined, it was decent for awhile then took a nosedive when Sasuke kept being a huge douche and yet Naruto et al still liked for lord only knows what reason. Still has some fun fights and characters here and there though.

Hey, the Naruto manga is alright. The anime, on the other hand, not so much.

Anyway, I'm enjoying Death Note so far. Sure it's laughably melodramatic at times, but I think that adds to its charm. Probably check out the manga at some point, but not until the series is done airing as I'd rather not spoil it.

I might have thought that too, but after watching it for awhile now, it's a pretty awesome show.

It has to be my favourite anime's of all time.

Brilliant story, brilliant voice acting (Japanese subs) and well thought out characters. I found it really tried to make you think about what is evil and what is good, what is right and what is wrong. Loved every minute of it.

    ROFLOL

Deathnote is/was brilliant I only disliked the ending, a typical complaint I have with such story driven anime like this and "Monster"

I love Death Note, but anime snobs are too hard on Naruto. Its fun, with really creative characters and powers. I won't clear a Saturday night to watch it but I enjoy marathoning episodes when I can.

I enjoyed most of the Death Note manga, although the quality went down after volume 7, but I haven't watched a full episode of the anime yet. From the few clips I've seen, the animation looks very nice and the voice work (dub) is good, but I can't see such a wordy series lending itself that well to a more fluid visual medium like animation. I'll probably pick up the series when it eventually comes out in a box set, by which time I'll have forgotten most of the plot twists and can enjoy the story fresh, but it's not a priority right now.

I love both of the subs, in fact I am in the process of downloading fansubs and I am always exited to see what happens in DN, as for Naruto I tend to skip the fillers and just watch the main story arc episodes. Both are good for different reasons.

I love Death Note. It's perhaps the best thing to happen since DBZ.

That pretty much sums up how I feel about naruto, I do like watching 3 or 4 episodes at a time, and I can't say that I don't enjoy it when I do.
