    ive been a fan of this since i read the preview in an issue of shonen jump. any other fans on here?

    The first half is great. The second half? Not so much.

    Yep, the first 7 volumes are seriously amazing and then it takes a nose dive with the final 5.

    I say give it a try, it won't dissapoint overall though.

    i do agree with that the first half is epic. i never did care for near and mello as much as i did L. i do have to say that the last volume is truly amazing and has great ending. i wish now that they did what ifs? like what if L never died or what if light killed everyone in the warehouse and won

    You guys ever seen the live-action movie of Death Note. It changes things a bit. Namely,
    L wins by writing his own name in the Death Note himself, thus specifying the precise way he dies and essentially making himself immune to any sort of way Light writes into the Death Note.

    im guessing that was in the last name one. i never did see that but i saw the first one and didnt care for it because it strayed a bit to far at times from the comics at times

    I haven't seen the movies.
    The first half of the manga was great.
    It was awesome the way L narrowed the killer down to Japan in like two seconds.
    The second half wasn't as good, but the ending was greatness.
