If anyone from Hasbro or Takara (or the retailers that buy their products) are reading these messageboards:

The fanbase would like either full cases of Transformers Prime Robots in Disguise Wave 3 Revealer Vehicons or boxsets with multiple Vehicons in them.

This is not unprecedented and troopbuilder cases/boxsets have been done in the past at regular retail with the GI Joe line.

Due to how the character is portrayed on the Transformers Prime show on The Hub, There is HUGE interest by the fandom in acquiring multiples of these figures for troopbuilding.

The upcoming case assortments of 1 Vehicon per case will make that diffucult or nearly impossible.

Who else on TF2005 is with me on this?

Edit: After seeing in-hand pics of RiD Vehicon's awesomeness, is there any of those who answered "no" that would like to amend their vote?

The Takara ones ARE full cases of Vehicons. It's Hasbro that does the assortments, and it's mostly because of Wal-Mart and the like...

I would love to see a three pack of the Vehicons. Fuck yeah man. I don't know if it'll ever happen unless the three figures are distinguished some how. We would need one to be the car version, one to be the jet, and the other to be battle damaged.

    Make it happen.

Thats good news. But not for everyone....not all of us can afford to pay extra for the imports.

Do we know what the Takara version will look like?

I don't think getting Five will be that hard when these figures are all over. You'll just have to do it one at a time and have patience like myself.

I question the wisdom of this. I can imagine the first few cases selling very fast, but will then quickly grind to a halt.

If the collector market is as small relative to the child market as Hasbro says (and I have little reason to doubt them) we are, supply would far overreach demand. These guys would start shelf warming much harder than bumblebee ever did.

We'll likely see Vehicons in future waves, possibly in higher numbers.

It's a better case-padding idea than 2x Bumblebees for every other character. Besides, the wave hasn't even hit retail yet. Patience.

This could be sound logic....but, I will say that RTS Wreckgar and Generations Scourge and Junkheap never shelfwarmed. Granted there weren't entire cases of any of these figures but, if there were, I'm sure they would've sold.

Hell we had fans on theses boards showing pics that they had 30 or more of each of the figures I mentioned above.

Troopbuilding is a whole different animal than shelfwarming Bumblebees.

A case of Vehicons would not be a good idea.

Maybe pack them three to a case for a couple of waves, but that's it.

Scourge warmed shelves pretty well around here. Not as much as Kup and Wheeljack, sure, but your odds of finding him at any given store until rather recently were pretty damn good.

I voted no, but didn't notice you mentioned boxsets. I'd buy a boxset, but have a feeling the cases would warm shelves for a while.

Personally, I won't be buying multiples as I don't troop build. Ergo I voted "no".

But I've got nothing against Hasbro releasing specific cases for those that want them. Prolly be better for allowing me to get my single Vehicon.

I guess it all depends on area.

Scourge and Junkheap sold around here as soon as stores put them out.

I only ever saw Scourge in my area one time....at a walmart...and I'm out at a retail store on a regular basis either hunting, shopping, or both.

I would so love it if they release a Vehicon troop-builder set. I'll buy at least a few of them!

As you yourself said, wreck gar and co were never overpacked to the ridiculous degree that you are proposing with the vehicons. Also, you have to keep in mind, it's highly likely far fewer generations figures are made than mainline stuff, meaning they would sell out faster.

And while there are weirdos who buy stupid numbers of the same toy, how many of them do you think there are?

Haha, yeah, the Takara release for the Prime RiD line is beyond bewildering. Mini-con ports and stickers instead of paint FTL.
