All I have is two questions, both starting with "why?"

Why? Why do the Wayans Bros. continue to make blatantly unfunny movies and yet blame their low box office numbers on people sneaking in to see them?

Why? Why do they feel "The Munsters" should have been a Rated R comedy????

Faulty logic. I wouldn't not have even watched Little Man in the theater for free. Maybe if I was paid.....maybe.

Denial can be an ugly thing…

The Wayans need to really stop with their stereotypical humor that we see coming a mile away, and bring back the funny they used to bring back in the day.

    1. I don't doubt for a second that there is truth to what they say about kids paying for one movie and then sneaking into theirs. It's fair to place some blame on this. That being said, you can't place the entire blame for a low box office on such an occurrence (and I didn't get the impression they were). I would guarantee it contributed to the problem.

    2. Why not have it as an R rated comedy (#1 above not taken into account)?

...do you not understand? Transformers was almost rated R...a freaking kids cartoon??

On a more serious note, why would an adaptation HAVE to follow the status quo? Especially considering the kinds of movies those dudes are known for making.

I think you might be mis-reading it. He says the Munsters is Pg-13, but it don't think he was saying they intended on it being R. He was just explaining why they are making a PG-13 movie as opposed to one of their normal Rated R ones (which is what they always do).

That's how I read it at least.

Either way, I think this movie will suck. White chicks was pretty funny, but ONLY because of this guy:

Yeah...that means diddly poo. The Munsters lasted for two seasons, and several failed reboots in the 90s. Just because its on Nick at Night doesn't mean it sacred.

On that note, I gave up a long time ago in believing that Hollywood holds itself up to any standard. Concerning the Wayans, wasn't Hot Chicks and Little Man PG-13 to begin with? They need to put down the crack, and realize that while they are entertaining in a 'we suck so bad we're funny kind of a way'; people aren't gonna spend their money at movies for white chicks and little man. I honestly believe that they have a better chance if the films were rated r rather than pg-13.

And its a very cold at the theater whenever anyone over 13 can't get into a r rated film.

    Dear god, I don't care.

Most of the times their shitty films fly right under my radar.

I don't have the energy to hate on movies anymore, I am simply indifferent.

Who keeps giving these guys money to make Movies?

I would rather they just release in living color to the theatres...it is all the same anyways.

Their movies are funny, but I like low-brow humor like this. If you're laughing at Beavis & Butthead and Metalocalypse then it's your type of comedy. Besides, Little Man's CGI was pretty good. Shame White Chicks looked like Living Mannequins.

The reason why people like this keep getting money for remakes is because Hollywood is out of original ideas...

Want more proof? See the thread on the Back to the Future remake.

That isn't nearly the same thing.

And the Wayans suck, but at least they're messing with something nobody really cares about.

I'm much more concerned about the proposed remakes of Shocker and Friday the 13th than the Munsters.

Jiggles, once again expressing something I was going to post before I posted it.

I still laugh at Bevis and Butthead, and I think Metalocalypse is hilarious, but I have never had even the slightest interest in any of these Wayans brothers movies.
