anyone reading this new series? i was worried about it starting as a tie-in to secret invasion, but so far i think its bloody fantastic...i love deadpool, and the first issue throws you in such a loop, then the 2nd uncoils it in a very bizarre way...and the ongoing dialogue deadpool is having with himself...i love it...love love love it...

I think it's god awful. Daniel Way is the worst thing to happen to Deadpool in a long, long time. It's a shame to see his interpretation of the character carry on.

I've never read Deadpool before, but I've found this pretty entertaining so far... the back-story at the end of the first issue was nice for me not knowing anything about DP.

First issue was okay. I have yet to read the second. I with Niceza was writing though. Out of all the Deadpool writers ever, Fabian, Kelly, and Simone cannot be topped.

    It's a Deadpool book that isn't funny.

    Complete and total fail.

Really? I thought the first issue had some funny parts in it. Not as funny as the Cable and Deadpool series, but still chuckle-inducing.

Art was nice but writing was a big 'meh' after seeing what Niceza (sp?) did with the character for so long.

Really. You can tell that Way thinks he's being funny, but the jokes are incredibly lame and pathetic for a Deadpool book.

I thought both issues were great. From the heavily armed mascot to the Skrullpools, just laughed my ass off

The second issue was way better. The knock-knock training, "HOLLA AT YA BOY!", "Take it away, daddy.".....it was a big improvement, IMO. Way just needs time to settle in to the book, it's only the second issue, anyway.

It was just OK. I'll buy it right now since it's crossing over w/ Secret Invasion...but there are far many more books I enjoy more to keep buying it.

    it's shit.

humor isnt even important to me in the deadpool series, so I can look past this series horrid attempts at it. Humor isnt what makes deadpool great. there have been a lot of serious stories with the character over the years. but no matter what, deadpool is usually a good read. whether he's being insane, getting his heart broken, or having his entire world fall down around him, there's always a quality to the stories that has kept me coming back for years.

the two issues of the new series lack that quality. there was no desire to turn the page and see what was going to happen next. nothing to bring me in.

Deadpool #1 was okay but #2 was awesome! It so funny, I was cracking up reading it. I loved all the Deadpool Skrulls. Then when he makes them cut off their hands and they ask him why he didn't do it and Deadpool just says (paraphrasing) "Hey, losing body parts is part of the job...get used to it." XD
Skrull Scientist: How did you get your hand free? Deadpool: "Ancient Chinese secret." :lolol

i think it was ok but not even close to the older stuff. the think with the bang flag coming out of his gun and the knock knock Blam! things seemed more joker-esque than deadpool. I think it'll improve tho so i'm still gunna buy it

I can't remember the last time I saw just a divided thread about a comic.

...I know I probably have, but this one just sticks out to me for some reason.

Today I was at the comic shop about to buy #2, but then I flipped to the last page and saw Deadpool say "Holla at'cha boy" and I threw it back on the shelf.
