I honestly don't mind the Necromorphs using guns as long as they explain how. And if they do co-op like Portal or ME3, I won't be too upset.

I'm certainly buying this at some point, whether that be the Collector's Edition at midnight or on Steam for $5 two years later. It doesn't take much to make me want to play Dead Space, and a cold environment just seals the deal. It'd better be cold out by the time this comes out.

As long as co-op isn't integral to the main story, this game is golden.

Don't care if there's co-op or not I love the Dead Space series and I'm getting it.

That's a good way to approach it. Having a partner constantly breathing down your neck is a great way to ruin a game.
The again, Lego Dead Space is an interesting prospect.

I think not. Plus, any and all suspense of going into a dark room is killed with someone else, unless the environments are huge and they ramp up the volume of Necromorphs that attack.

Aww, and here I thought the whole strategic dismemberment thing would have fit the Lego universe to a tee.
But I'm in absolute agreement on the partner thing. The most terrifying part of Resident Evil 5 was the fact that the controls were unresponsive, and that Sheva was completely brain dead.

Whenever I first played RE5, I was just waiting to be shot by her. I figured she had to be sabotage. Regardless, I get the feeling Dead Space won't go full on action.

Well, considering how good she was at ammo conservation, she more or less was sabotage.

Me and my best friend both love Dead Space, so the news of a Co-Op campaign has us both really excited. Besides, Dead Space had been slowly morphing more into action-horror than survival horror anyway - adding a partner won't kill the horror aspect, it's just gonna amp up the action.

I just hope they focus on the story of the markers this time. So many unexplained and contradicting loose ends.

Given the news story there, I don't see how it could be integral:

    Sounds fun, I'm in.

BTW, 2 player Co-op only made Dead Space: Extraction more fun on the Wii.

February of next year. Co-op sucks. That's basically all the news.
