Note that this isn't my intended use for this mold, and I'm using that Bulky head for another project, but this was just one of those random ideas I figured I ought to share for any Radicon wishing (s)he had a more-so "classic" Bulkhead to shove in the collection.

Anywho, before moving on to photos, inspiration for this mod goes to Smog, with the spine mod I came up with for another project I'm working on:

So yush, on to the goods~

Claw hands that actually suit the character! =D
    [IMG]

The sloping front end does a nice job of emulating his Animated torso~
    [IMG]

Sure, he may not be as stumpy n adorable, but having a little extra articulation doesn't hurt~
    [IMG]

And I'm sure his friends miss 'im a bunch. =(

On a final note, I'm curious how a Cybertron Crumplezone head would look on this mold~

I like everything but the way the head is. But you've definitely got a good thing going on, and i'm looking forward to seeing more of this.

To really turn it into a custom bulkhead, it would require more finetuning, to make the bot mode look more like it's intended to be the bot-mode, rather than a backwards bot.

Went and got those pictures resized. Anywho. . .

    Mm, I just had it hang off the corner to give folks an idea, but I was going to really do this, I'd probably shove the head onto that canopy bit, to give 'im a bit of that Animated-hunched-over look. Sadly, this ish just a random idea I had while playing with spare parts, I've already got another purpose for this H2. ^^;

I don't know if I'd call it backward, but yeah, a finished product should have a good deal more fine tuning. Perhaps, as I believe REDLINE suggested back in the other thread, rotating front wheels to prevent wheel-knocking, as well as cutting off the door windows and gluing them to the windshield piece to fill in some side gaps. Kufu, I guess for my own project, those'd be two good ideas to keep in mind. . .

That's EXACTLY the head placement I wanted to do for Ratchet using his Rescue red/white version, after I saw what Smog did with his (in short, put the head at the 'back' and lean the new chest down further). But I love the step you took with the spine making it a ball joint, making the upper body twist around. And I think the head placement is fine, but that body needs one that's much bigger. (my only problem--the Alt Prowl head I wanted to use was too small)

Glad someone else is tinkering with this concept again. :)

i think it's a good idea and a decent start. since you mention that this isn't an actual custom, i'll just say that someone could really make this look great with more extensive work (and repainting). i hope to see someone turn this into a reality

It may be odd, but I actually just have a Cybertron Crumplezone as a standin for Classics Bulkhead (with Autobot symbols of course). :)

Nevertheless, you've done some good work here :thumb

The idea is good, I really like it, but the animated head doesnt really suit it to me, and would need to be lower. Its a neat guy none the less!
