DC Universe figures in stores now

I found wave 1 of the DC Universe figures at TRU here in L.A. I bought Penguin, Orion, and Red Tornado. I was really happy to find Red Tornado, he's awesome. They also had Etrigan and Classic Detective batman but I passed on them for now. Also here's pics of wave 3 coming soon. Can you say best wave ever?

I love that Hal Jordan, but i wish they've given these figures ball jointed hips.

Those Hal and Sinestro figures look nice, although I wish they would've used the new costumes for both.

I hope they make a new Superman, because the old body is bow-legged like Clark got raped by Jimmy Olson.

Wonder if distribution will be as lousy as DCSH was?

Do you have pics of the Wave 1 figs? I'm pleasantly surprised at the Wave 3 stuff. Deathstroke is amazing.

They have universal hip movement, its not apparent in standing position, but it is when you move their legs to the side, think RID Scourge(T crotch, but able to move in all directions).

I'm really impressed with the paint applications on these. Way better than any waves before. Snapped some pics:

I may get a few but I already have the DC Direct counterparts. If tha's the case, the figure really has to look awesome for me to shell out more cash on the same character.

Also, you know, finding the characters in stores would be nice.

If they had better articulation, (ie Toybiz ML's) I'd be all over them like Sean McNamara on Eden.

I think they have enough articulation. I'll take less articulation over a figure with 41 points that you can barely get to stand.

hmmm they look pretty good, nice sculpts, i think marvel(err hasbro) needs to take a lesson here that sculpting does more than poseability

the BAF is kind of a rip off idea though

Thought these would start showing up soon.

I need to move to your house. You always seem to find toys early.

"Rex Mason: The Element Man"? They just used "Metamorpho" in the JLU line -- surely someone else didn't snatch up the TM since then.

Crap. I just bought the DCDirect "Batman & Son" Robin. Looks like I shouldn't've bothered, 'cause that version looks about 1654 times better.
